While much attention has been given to the tragic statistic of 22 veterans per day taking their own lives, it is startling to discover that more seniors actually succumb to this heartbreaking fate daily. Why aren’t we discussing it? Why aren’t we taking action? Loneliness emerges as the leading cause behind the alarming number of senior suicides. Today, we focus on one specific grandmother, an 84-year-old widow deeply cherished by her community and family. But what drives our seniors to such extreme measures? We must find answers and bring attention to this pressing concern in so much as we do our veterans.
This documentary not only serves as a platform for sharing these stories, but it also enables us to continue our mission of aiding families and law enforcement free of charge. By highlighting these struggles, we hope to inspire change and foster a supportive environment for those in need. Today, we stand on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, ready to unravel the tale of Jaime, a granddaughter whose son’s uncle happens to be the sheriff. Rest assured, this is not a case where law enforcement lacks interest; rather, it’s a story of communities rallying together when resources are scarce.
Throughout the unfolding of this documentary, we will bear witness to the stories of the lost and those in desperate need of help.
