COLD CASE: Female (34) Pearl Scarkino (5′ 3″ – 115 lbs)

In this video, we are focusing on the case of Pearl L Scarkino, a white/caucasian female who went missing on February 3rd, 2001, at the age of 34. Pearl was 5’3″ tall, weighed 115 lbs, black hair, and brown eyes. She had distinctive burn scars on both arms and hands. Pearl was last seen in the 100 block of Evangeline Road in Montz, Louisiana, driving a green 1993 Ford Crown Victoria with Louisiana license plate number ICG554.

Today, over 20 years later, Pearl would be 54 years old, and we are still searching for answers in her disappearance. The NamUs case was created on May 28th, 2020, and we hope that by sharing her story, we can bring renewed attention to her case.

Pearl lived in the small town of Montz, Louisiana, which is located in St. Charles Parish. The last known location of Pearl was mapped out, and we are focusing our search efforts in two locations near the town of Montz.

Pearl was wearing blue jeans and an unknown-colored shirt at the time of her disappearance. Her distinctive burn scars may have been visible, and we hope that someone might recognize her from this description.

There are two scenarios we are considering in Pearl’s case. The first is that she may have decided to end her life by driving her car into the river. The second is that she may have been the victim of an abduction or a crime, which unfortunately is not uncommon in the New Orleans area where Pearl went missing.

In our search, we are hoping to find Pearl’s car or any other evidence that can help shed light on what happened to her. Although it has been over 20 years since Pearl went missing, we believe that there is still hope for finding answers and bringing closure to her family and loved ones.

If you have any information about Pearl Scarkino’s disappearance, please contact the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 783-1135. Your information could be the key to solving this case and bringing justice for Pearl and her family. Thank you for watching and for your support in our search for Pearl.

  1. UNCONFIRMED UPDATE (March 24th) Pearl Scarkino Alive?? – One of you, our viewers reached out with some information that Pearl may be alive and living in San Antonio. If/when we can confirm, we will update all of you here.

  2. (this isn't directed at the fine folks of AWP, i know you'd put her picture up if you had one) why's there no photo of Pearl? how on earth is anyone supposed to know who to look for if there's no picture to go off of?

  3. Been waiting for your come back Jared! I never miss a video and still watch old ones except ones with Sam and Doug. Sorry but they said some mean things after all you did for them. Anyway welcome back

  5. Keep your head Up Jared, so good to see you back, I love what you do, thank you. I keep searching for your new videos. Sorry your so called friends have left, I checked out some of their videos, they just aren’t the same, way below your standard, couldn’t watch them. they just don’t have your personality’s and your clear commitment to the work. They do it but it just seems bland. good luck with everything, I wish you and your family all the best.

  6. I just read articles about what happened. Very upset that Doug and crew would abandon you. Yes, it’s terribly sad what happened, but proves they’re loyalty for helping families.

  7. I am a major over thinker and I like to be prepared for the worst and I have watched almost all of these and my mom likes cold cases and I recommend this channel to her.
