  1. the American regime/ Empire and a handful of others are trying to push democracy equaling slavery by consent on the rest of the world wake up it's time

  2. Where on earth do these people (Taliban) get weapons, food , water etc to survive??? maybe Bear Grills should go there to learn.. Its gone past the level of stupidity now.. Its just a bloody game.. Like 'Progress Holistic' states, its all about minerals, poppy fields etc.. It should be DOCUMENTED OR REPORTED as a big shame for USA for not being able to defeat these hill billies for the past 15+ years. Either USA military is shit or they are working with them?? Choose your poison !!!

  3. One of the principal goals of Bin Laden was to engage the US in perpetual warfare thereby bleeding the US treasury. With nothing to show for the TRILLIONS spent in Afghanistan and Iraq over the past 17 years and no end in sight, Bin Laden would say, "Mission Accomplished".

  4. This is such a waste by the US. The lives wasted, the money wasted the resources wasted by the US. I mean the US has been in Afghanistan for 17 years and still no progress, and the US president just signed another $716 billion dollar military budget. This is no secret that there is profit to make from all this suffering, but as capitalist the primary goal is profit. All life will be expandable.

  5. Had to tuin the volume down the blab got so bad . Again just spewing iut Western prop. after all the atrocities committed in the name of Justice but really done for the sake of the Western elitist oligarchs in would think you and your guests would shut up now to begin the real process of retracting there activities throughout the world. Then there is a real chance for a better world without the concern of how the rich will get richer or even maintain their outlandish privileges at the expense of life on the planet. Utopian? You think? Just try it sndyou might find you like it.

  6. I have just looked at the New York Times and the Washington Post and this news did not even reach the front pages. After 17 years it would seem that much of America and especially the corporate media is not interested in even knowing about whats going on in Afghanistan. If we lost the war I really do believe many people would shrug it off. Neo-Conservtives in government might beat their breasts and blame everyone but themselves for the loss of this war, but otherwise hardly anybody wants to think about it. I am old enough to remember Nixon's "peace with honor" and the negotiations that took years to finally end with us soon there after losing the country completely and the war to the North Vietnamese. This will probably be no different………………..

17 years of US and NATO coalition of combined Forces valued at trillions of dollars and they have lost to the tribal Taliban.
    Duh 😵
Negotiating could have been done 16 years ago.

  8. This war didn't start with the Russia Invasion, it started with the USA support for the rebels making a civil war to overthrow the Soviet Backed Afghanistan Government. This isn't a War the United States "Faced", it's a war USA/Israel/Saudi Arabia CREATED, by creating the Osama Bin Laden Mujahideen, in order to Damage The Soviet Union. This guy has his mendacious words carefully chosen, does not talk about how the USA/Israel/Saudi Arabia installed the Taliban through their proxy war (creating Mujahideen, Al Quaeda, ISIS, whatever name they have for it next.)

  9. Nam all over… Who cares if the US military and their Afghan collaborators lose as long as the war profiteers at home make tons of money selling their weaponry, and their wars … The only reason the US "war on terror" started in Afghanistan 17 years ago, and spread to Iraq 2 years after… No mineral to exploit, no oil to be stolen, no country "to rebuild", no democracy at all… Shame to the US citizens for letting their military-industrial complex leading them and their politicians by the nose. The US citizens are cheated to the point their corporate politicians deny them the social well-being afforded to all the citizens in other western countries !! All that money goes to the US war profiteers and their corrupt politicians !! Time to drop a bigger one effing Trump?! Could you ride it this time?

  10. No USA needs to get rid of Pakistan in order for peace in the world… all the fighting of Taliban fighters came from Pakistan to ghazni there was video proofs and dead bodies brought back to Pakistan but still USA has not been able to do anything about it

  11. USA needs to fight in Pakistan invade there because all the Taliban is coming from Pakistan….. please go there leave Afghanistan alone. There are proof ghazni taliban was all from Pakistan with proof shown in videos so why doesn’t USA invade Pakistan????????

  12. The aim of the late 2001 invasion of Afghanistan was to dismantle Al-Qaeda and deny it a safe base of operation by removing the Taliban from power. This accomplished it we should have left and if needed could have returned if the Taliban came back. Remaining there involved the US in another unwinnable expensive quagmire.like Vietnam.

  13. Ahmed Rashid's book on the Taliban was phenomenal read, no doubt. Subsequently, he has simply become a well-read mouthpiece of US occupation and the hugely ineffective Afghan govt. Where does he get his claim that Russia or Iran are supporting the Taliban except US Intelligence? It is telling that that's the only source he mentions in this interview. Indeed, why should he be believed just because he is the famous Ahmed Rashid?

  14. Reminds me of the Vietnam Tet Offensive. The Afghan War has lasted for so long that I've forgotten why America is still fighting there.

  15. What if the war in Afghanistan was never about terror; but about mineral wealth, poppy production, & an imperial dream to counter China's geopolitical grasp?
    What if?
