Why Should Americans Care About NATO/US In Africa? (Pt 2/2)

The anti-war movement rightfully focuses on the expansion of US military action around the world, but what connection does that have to every day struggles in poor & Black communities in the US like Baltimore? Why should Baltimoreans care about endless expanding war?

  1. Thanks for this RNN. Would be great to see more interviews with the anti imperialist left in the US/Canada/ everywhere.

  2. What im gonna say isn't gonna be well liked….

I don't see Somalians in Minnesota, Eritrians in D.C., or Nigerians anywhere in America building outreach programs for black Americans or Pan-African organisations with a local an international reach.
What I do see are capitalist, hyper religious American social climbers.
Why care about Africa when experience has taught that Africa don't care about me ?

Seriously, the pan-africanism of my youth has become the "hold your own nuts" of age an wisdom.

  3. PBS aired a special report on April 17 that the United States is spending 110 million dollars building a military base in Niger in order to launch armed drones to survey a desolate land area twice the size of Texas. I had no idea and I'm totally against it. The manpower and equipment being used should instead be used to improve highways and poor neighborhoods in the United States. The military industrial complex is out of control.

  4. Wonderful discussion and information shared! I couldn’t agree more! I immediately went to see who supported the bill. I believe more people are starting to be awaken to understand how this system works and how to stop it. It’s a tangled mess but we are figuring this out. I am really glad solutions were discussed!
