Man rescued after being trapped in truck for days: ‘It’s a miracle he’s alive’ | LiveNOW from FOX

A man was rescued after being trapped inside of his crashed truck for nearly a week, underneath a bridge in Portage, Indiana. By nothing short of a miracle, 2 fishermen found him.

“It’s a miracle that he’s alive,” police said during a press conference. “We’ve been lucky enough that our temperatures have been above normal.”

When first responders extricated the man from the truck, he was conscious. He has severe, potentially life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted from the scene to South Bend Memorial Hospital and at last check is still in critical condition, police say.

LiveNOW’s Austin Westfall spoke about the incredible rescue with FOX 32’s Kasey Chronis.
