Interested to know what defence Trump is offering. On the falsifying business records, doesn't really seem to have a clear defence available – since, the payment was unrelated to any Trump Org business activities; though, that charge has fairly light fine/sentencing guidelines, as I understand it. On the campaign finance charges, would seem the 'didn't want Melania to find out' defence doesn't work in and of itself; that is, even if it was true (it may well be), it's still irrelevant insofar as the context of the Trump campaign's 'catch and kill' program, in which they paid to silence such stories coming to light for the express purpose of the election campaign.
