Sidney Powell, an attorney and ally of former President Donald Trump, has pleaded guilty in Georgia’s 2020 election interference case. Maybe I've been a lawyer too long, but I cannot understand why it matters whether Powell believed that Trump lost the election. If a stranger walks up to my family at the grocery store and says, "I believe your child is mine," it'd be creepy, but not a crime. If that person takes my child from me, regardless of whether they believe he is their child, that's a crime.
