Texas Governor Greg Abbott headlined the New York Republican Party’s annual gala in Manhattan.
Abbott spoke on border security issues, which have been at the middle of his back-and-forth with NYC Mayor Eric Adams.
Abbott said that they first started to bus migrants to Washington D.C. in protest of President Biden’s border policies but then NYC Mayor Adams began to criticize him. Meanwhile, Adams’ team says that Abbott began bussing migrants to NYC in the spring , while Abbott maintains that happened more towards the fall of 2022.
LiveNOW’s Andrew Craft spoke with FOX 5 NY’s Morgan McKay about how Abbott’s presence was received in the Big Apple.
