These air filters suck so bad. I put one in my Toyota Tacoma and was getting less air blowing out and my AC was struggling. About once or twice a week my AC button would flash indicating Compressor failure. My truck is three years old so it’s fairly new. I didn’t have any problems until I put this air filter in. Just stuck in a new cheap Walmart air filter and it’s fine

Total trash. The new N95 TRUE AIR blocks too much air and causes a lot of noise.

I wish whoever designed the 2008 Nissan Versa HVAC had lunch with the folks who designed the Honda HVAC. The Nissan requires removal of the entire glove box assembly, is tucked way under the dash, and has a lousy retention mechanism. It's so awkward that even the pleated filter paper is only partially framed because of the weird installation design.
The filtration must be better than OEM I suppose but will it cause flow restriction and shortened blower motor durability.
Fram… I don't mind their air and cabin air filters, but I will never buy or use their oil filters. The original orange filter is nothing but a cereal box stuffed into a soda/pop can imo. Very high oil flow, but very little in actually performing the intended purpose: filter contaminates out of the oil. The anti-drain back valve is poor excuse.. I do get that they are made to a price, but even Motorcraft oil filters are worlds better than that piece of target practice. Please Eric, use that oil filter cutter that you and Nikoli used in that one video and do your own comparisons. For those wondering, I use Baldwin oil filters for the price, micron rating, and oil flow when possible. Motorcraft and Mobil1 otherwise. K&N oil filters with the nut welded on are overhyped and overpriced for what you get. I did extensive research on oil filters recently.
Ever since Fram announced this true air cabin, I am definitely going to give it a try so I can breathe in clean and quality air.
My 2014 accord just has one, much larger filter. Which method do you prefer? I change mine every few oil changes so it never gets that dirty lol.

Today I learned that I have 2 cabin air filters on my Honda Element…. going to buy new frame air filters and reset the usage.

One thing to note about high filtration filters is just like home AC/furnace filters you will decrease air flow and make blower motors work harder. It will just factually be more stress on the units to achieve the desired temperature if on auto. I doubt it will make a huge difference and definitely better than a clogged filter but still.

Funny all the bashing on FRAM, i have been using FRAM filters since i got my first vehicle as a teenager, far too many years to mention now. They are available locally, affordable, and not much different then all the others these days, despite what people say buying filters made in the same factory with a different paint job and name on them. The ones i use are the FRAM Extra Guard, the silver ones, mainly because they have always had the anti-drainback valve on them that people used to bash the orange FRAM filters for not having, but its also what my local stores always have in stock for my vehicles. I put over 200k on one vehicle with FRAM filters its entire life, that was replaced by another that i kept until 170k and it self destructed when a timing belt went, not FRAMS fault, and my current vehicle is as 115k and still running FRAM. I haven't had any issues with their filters in 485k of combined miles, nearly half a million miles and still running FRAM. Are they the poor mans filter? Maybe… But they are also affordable, available, and i don't believe in the snake oil most filter companies spew out.

I usually agree with Eric on most things, but Fram makes garbage oil filters and I will never give them a single cent.

Probably the only fram product I'd use.
Between two dogs and high desert dust my cabin filters were filthy, and needed to be replaced every six months. With three vehicles it was getting too costly, till I came across K&M washable filters. While I’ll never use their engine air filters, the cabin filters are awesome. Even though I clean them twice as often (once each season) they still look great and paid for themselves in six to nine months.
Thanks for the reminder Eric. I change my cabin air filter about every 18 months but After watching your video I checked out the filter and of course it needs replacing. Congrats of getting support from Fram. I have been using their oil and air filters for decades with no issues. My car has 263,000 miles and my truck has 223,000 on it. Always used Fram, no problems.
Love you man, but the main idea is to have little dust as possible. Once you step out of the 'clean air' cabin, you're surrounded by pollen and viruses. Just use a basic filter and call it a day.
