The US House of Representatives has passed HR 7511, known as the “Laken Riley Act” and named for the nursing student murdered last month on the UGA campus allegedly at the hands of man who entered the country illegally.

Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) authored the “Laken Riley Act” and joined LiveNOW from FOX’s Josh Breslow to explain how the legislation will give ICE and state governments “more tools in the fight against illegal alien crime.”

  1. So if something walked up and started punching you in the face and You said that it was a failure to not hit you When would you Wake up and realize that maybe they shouldn't have been hitting you in the first place Or the fact that the individual hitting you had to make the conscious decision to do so Like Joe Biden opening the border and destroying the country😂

  2. Trump allowed him into the Country! Jan 19, 2021; Trump announced he will offer Venezuelan exiles protection from deportation, a move he has considered for years but refused to do until his last full day in office. Trump used the little-known Deferred Enforced Departure program, or DED, to offer temporary legal status to Venezuelans fleeing the humanitarian crisis brought on by Nicolás Maduro’s regime. DED, similar to Temporary Protected Status or TPS, protects recipients from deportation and allows them to get work permits. However, it is granted directly by the president instead of the Department of Homeland Security

“The deteriorative condition within Venezuela, which presents an ongoing national security threat to the safety and well-being of the American people, warrants the deferral of the removal of Venezuelan nationals who are present in the United States,” the U.S. will defer for 18 months the removal of certain Venezuelan nationals present in the U.S. on Jan. 20. It also allows those Venezuelans to work during that time. This is how the guy was in the US "legally" under Trump's last day signing a document Jan 19, 2021, that put him on the good side of Maduro, who just happens to be Putin's only South American ally.

  3. Any politician that would vote against this doesn’t deserve to be in elected office again! Keep ppl who are unwilling to protect innocent citizens like Laken Riley and you or me out of office!! Our tax dollars pay for them salaries!

  4. 37 democrats signing off on it most likely is because it is election year or, it's an investment for a future return. A return that would pressure some conservatives to sign off for the left on something in the future.

  5. The board members of Athens who voted to become a sanctuary for illegal aliens have blood on their hands. All of them, in every town that have committed this deadly insanity.

  6. It has been a liberal stronghold for several years now.I live about 45 minutes from there and it is a shame that so many parents pay for their kids to be professionally indoctrinated!

  7. BILL. IS. MISSING….. ROBBING, BEATING, MURDERING, RAPEING,
KIDNAPPING, IN POSSESSION OF ANY TYPE OF WEAPON. GUN, .PIPE, STICK ,ANY TYPE OF OBJECT TO HARM VICTIM / VICTIMS……..
THIS BILL NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO
UP DATED. !!!!! NEEDS TO BE. MORE DETAILED!! …. LIKE I MENTIONED ABOVE. COVER ALL CRIMINAL ACTS!!!!!! ..OF THESE SO CALLED UNDOCUMENTED MIGRANTS/ NEWCOMERS/ ILLEGALS… WHAT EVER THE HELLLLL YA WANT TO CALL THEM…
IF THEY DID NOT COME THTU "PORT" LEGALLY.!!!! THEY. AIN'T
DUPPOSE TO BE STANDING ON USA SOIL. THAT. IS. FACT!!!!

  8. The prisons in other countries and mental health institutions seem to have emptied their institutions and they head either by themselves or by paying smugglers to Western countries. Is it possible though to secure borders totally in America? Condolences to the parents.

  9. I think this is aboslutely terrible! RIP Laken … I just wish our country, News, Presidents, Congressmen, etc., would address ALL the children that are being murdered right here by US Citizens, parents, moms, dads, step parents, friends, ever single day.. Why only talk about this disgusting act while there are so many out there daily!? I know why… Its called POLITICS!!! This disgusts me about America… such a farce

  10. The democrats do many thing very quietly. It means they get what they want with no one the wiser. Remember what the democrats said when the Florida primary happened?

  11. If the two party's aren't able to enforce the laws in the books! 🤔are we really that stupid to believe another bill would be enforce? Wake Up! Americans!….

  12. Just stop letting anyone in until their status is approved. This is a band aid. It doesn't actually solve the problem. Secure the border completely. Not just a little bit. What about the people dying everyday from the drugs that the cartels are smuggling across, or the human trafficking that's going on. What happened to Laken Riley is horrible, but this is a far bigger problem.

  13. His mother and sister are in the country………….maybe they arnt breathing still……..people in texas are hunting illegals……suks to be you

  14. It wasn't an enforcement problem, but a legislative problem. Obviously, an enforcement problem is not solved by making new laws that will themselves not be enforced. The fact that you passed a law shows that the problem was a legislative problem — not an enforcement problem. An enforcement problem can only be solved by replacing those who job it is to enforce the law — it is not solved by simply making new laws.

  15. Who reports shop lifting? And when they do who responds? Same answer to both those questions, nobody. How about we don't let them come in. And if someone who is already here gets found out however it happens, deport them. I don't care if they were strolling in the park and someone simply recognizes them. Grab them and send them back.

This is just the lawyers in Washington keeping the legal system money grind going.

And Oooo, they sent a letter demanding the Mayor upholds the law. Well that'll show him. How about you go down there and remove him from City Hall in cuffs? A law without enforcement is worthless. And that's half the problem. They put these laws in place with no punishment if you break them. They are just intended to make it look like they're doing something. If you weren't going to get a fine or lose your license would you care about speed limits or DUI, or any other law?
