  1. Homosexualism among the infiltrators of the Church is the issue. Patriarchy is virtuous and protects the innocent. Even then you have larger numbers within your government (public) schools. And you promulgate religions such as Islam which allows marriage to children in the cradle. You can project onto the Church but you can never destroy the Truth

  2. Stop attacking masculinity and realize that the church period is fucked up …i say that because you said patriarchy it's not just men that are doing this

  3. The Albigensians (Cathars)were the true Christians but their belief in equality and community along with taking turns preaching (and not in Churches), owning little, amongst other things didn't sit well with the early Church and French ruler so they genocided them, all of them…

  4. While some commenters on here don't like Mr. Fox's ideas, I think that he makes sense, focusing on the ideology of control and obedience. Sure, there is corruption but I doubt Fox would deny that. Perhaps more is in his book. I agree that the whole Catholic religion has to die and start over. Marc Steiner is a good interviewer once again!

  5. I don't doubt that Authoritarian Top Down Power Structures would tend to allow the more powerful to sexually abuse the less powerful. But I suspect that a larger component of the causes of priests, and nuns sexually abusing children and teens is likely to be rooted in the celibacy requirements. It would be wiser to repeal those requirements, to allow for healthy sexual outlets.

  6. Broken record. Evangelicals hide behind the robe of Jesus to do evil things daily that normal people or Jesus (love) would never do on their worst day… Rape, molest, sanction, starve, torture, bomb and murder in the name of Jesus. Go figure.

  7. Fox is an SJW blowhard who exploits tragic human suffering into theories supporting his lefty politics. Fortunately, he's all talk and never actually does anything but talk. If it weren't for donations from the post-menopausal women he entertains, who get their money either directly from one horrible patriarchal man, or from all horrible patriarchal men collectively via the government, he'd have to get a real job and develop worthwhile competencies – a.k.a. "the patriarchy." haha

  8. Patriarchy has nothing to do with this. Its the church's and western culture's repression of human sexual nature that causes its expression as a perversion. Yet, if these men were not priests, our mentally ill western society would applaud them for their "gay rights."

  9. Unfortunately, 30% of ALL USA young girls are sexually abused by family member & who knows how many boys? I know many adult women who were subjected to this abuse, they are more open than men discussing this issue. So do we eliminate family structures as well as the churches? I went to Catholic schools & I treasure the experience – I left the religion because I got divorced but my faith in God & the Holy Spirit lives within me

  10. I see this as a case of a fundamentally flawed ideology. You can’t impose an unobtainable philosophy, in this case celibacy and a blind obedience to an imaginary being in the sky on what would otherwise be sexually active and healthy human beings, and not expect adverse outcomes. No wonder we have stories like this and of nuns beating the daylights of of children.

  11. It would help if people would grow up and stop believing in superstitious ideas. Magic does not exist, and neither does any of this spiritual nonsense. There is no magic place to go to when you die. This is the only life you get, so live right, or waste your one and only chance.

  12. Clericalism or not. The problem really is the mindset of "protecting the institution at all costs," even the cost of letting children be sexually abused and covering it up, because the institution is viewed as more important than anything else, including human dignity.
