Samsung has upped the price of the Galaxy S24 Ultra by $100, just where has the Korean tech giant found this extra price premium?!

Cheapest S24 Ultra model (128 GB Ram) in Poland is 1650 USD (average monthly salary: 1424 USD)
Im upgrading from an S 8, so I think its finally worth it. I dont know why anyone would upgrade if they have something newer than an S20 or something though.
as a p30 pro user i think yes is worth it. 7 years security updates is a deal maker
This would all make sense if we didn't know how low the production cost of these things are in the places they're manufactured lol
Not to mention their profit margins increasing over the past few years.
The only thing you didn't mention is that Samsung is struggling more than they have been in the past. Apple is making a lot more profit and so the South Korean giant is looking for more ways to extract money from customers
samsung wants 1400 at their website…are they crazy
i wont buy one….too expensive..and got to pay for a1 after 2025…no thanks
Reason #1: because they want to
That yearly release cycle really needs to be toned down. Phones can endure more now, consumers deserve to save more and sustainablity is important given we are already facing shortages.
As someone who loves to upgrade to the newest tech I actually don't feel like upgrading to 24u from s23u. We've peaked for now. LG needs to come back and push the envelope to encourage samsung and apple to innovate one again
At some point Samsung has to upgrade the cameras for base and plus models, they didn't even adjust better apature for the 50mp camera in the last 2 generations. Only the Ultra got a camera upgrade so so.
it really annoyes me that nobody shows the new always on display i saw a little video but literally nobody shows anything of it and that i have to go to the store just to find out
I considered trading my S23U but once I looked at the trade in value and all of the other discounts I just couldn't justify it to myself.
But why is that none of the youtubers making a statement on Samsung using the same 8 bit display panel till date even in 2024 and not going with a 10 bit panel for the premium that we're paying
Guess whoβs also gonna increase prices this year? Thatβs right probably Apple, cuz Apple and Samsung always equal each other in price
The 15 pro max went from $1,099 msrp to $1,199 msrp compared to the 14 pro max, what did they add? Type c? Thatβs not worth $100 price hike, donβt get me wrong I have the 15 pro max itβs an amazing phone but compared to the 14 pro max itβs barely different and $100 more? Sure they made the base storage 256gb but that also isnβt $100 worth of price hike
Short answer. NO.
for that price id rather buy an iphone 15 pro max.. someday get an airpods pro 2 and apple watch and im done for the year spending money on tech
Here's my question is the phone worth it?
It's an incremental upgrade at best. Flat screen , 2600 nits, snapdragon gen 3. As an owner of the s23 Ultra, I'll wait for the z fold 6 and hope they use the best prototype designs and give it 100% to be as good or better than the Huawei mate x5 and Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche edition as first large foldable w integrated s pen. This upgrade is only for those who have the s22 or s21 or older , if you have the s23 ultra I recommend waiting one more year
In short, it's better to get a $300-400 smartphone and live with it for 10 years. Android updates adds nothing useful, and breaks stuff. "Advanced Intelligence" is nowhere near worth the extra cost.
You are paying for the extra storage… that "free" storage upgrade is not FREE at all. Next question
It's same price here no price hike from last years model
Weight saving was only 2g compared to previous version and the flat screen made the edge too sharp to hold.
why are y'all tryna justify the price increase? take the boot out your mouth.
So they stopped actually upgrading the Samsung at the S10. The camera on S10 is pretty close to my S22 Ultra
π people claim they wouldn't pay over a thousand dollars for a phone and turn around and upgrade every year good job Sam's proofing people wrong
So itβs making the iPhone the budget flagship lol
Samsung is so desperate to copy Apple, it even copies its price hikes.
Do we NEED titanium in smartphones and glass panels on the back? Phones are getting non-pragmatic these days.
Best time to buy the 23 Ultra.
Nobody talks in review how stupid it is to pre-order a new samsung phone.
Samsung can't even run their website properly.
If i can't replace the battery easily then extended support means nothing.
Still the S22 Ultra with minor upgrades. Not worth upgrading unless your phone is broken.
Just buy what you can afford. π
