  1. my Dealership mechanic told me i have bad bearing but I couldn’t hear it for Few Months & still didn’t hear it on the way to get it replaced i got it replaced but The i told the mechanic to keep the old in trunk and the old is Not shaky all all but good to have new set in front😊 of

  2. What if there is a clicking noise when spinning the wheel forward but nothing when spinning it backwards? Is that the wheel bearing too?

  3. I had a friend do my wheel bearing on my 05 Yukon 1500. He didn't torque the three nuts tight enough and they one of the nuts fell out. It cut the boot for the CV axle I had to replace the entire CV Axel. I went to a junkyard to get the bolt. It's a very special bolt fine thread metric.

  4. great job chirs, now i know y u get MM views! but when u said ' if u have 3/9 and 12/6 play it can't be tie rod/ball joint" but it still can b, rare but still possible……….thanks

  5. does wheelbearing noise come and go as and when you apply pressure on it. I thought it was a gearbox noise but then when driving in completely wet condition I don't hear anything. it's a FWD car. So I ruled out gearbox because in wet condition the problem part is obviously getting went and the water is lubrating the part.

During dry condition the noise is bad when the gear are engaged. When coasting at 30mph (let go of gas pedeal) the noise is terrible. When I put the gear in neutral (disengaged) the noise completely goes away. Maybe it is a driveshaft.

  6. So weird… I subscribed to your channel a long time ago! But, when I searched for a wheel bearing replacement video you popped up back in my feed.
But, how do you know what kind of bearing you need without taking off the wheel? Im trying to order the part, but i have 2 options: pulse or non-pulse. Thanks!

  7. When you did the test w/tire rotation, can you check it w/only front tires in the air, or all 4 should be in the air? The bad wheel bearing (actually it is wheel bearing & hub assembly on 2003 Chevy Cavalier, I don't know if you can remove just wheel bearing itself from that assembly) were bad on the front. There was exactly that noise like in your film on driving straight. I replaced the original ones w/new aftermarket just bcs of the mileage (~100K) about 2 years ago. Now they both failed, mechanic on alignment told me and I replaced them for the original ones I saved. Again the original ones had no issue and when I rotated them, they were rotated smoothly. That knocking sound gone, the car drives straight smooth, but now on turn it gives whining-scratching sound when turning to the Left (occasionally), and loud grounding sound when turning on the right. I did another alignment in the Dealer, but that sound didn't go away, and they didn't give me any recommendations this time. What that can be? I would appreciate any opinions on this matter. Thank you for the informative film. Yes, and when the wheel bearing were bad I couldn't feel anything by shacking the wheel side to side on in vertical direction.

  8. My car is making the same noise but I keep driving it for like months and I’ve done over another 10K KM thinking it’s just because of my tyres are on the way out and need replacement. But after watching this video, I’ve called my mechanic and booked it in for a replacement.

  9. is there any chance that a bad bearing can cause uneven wear on the brake pads and rotors? got pads and rotors changed because I was earing them rubbing on each other very hard when not pressing the brake at slow speed, after changed the noise is the same and I can see the uneven wear on the rotor

  10. I have a 1998 Ford Explorer My question is, how can you tell which tire it is? Is there a distinction between front tires and rear tires? And also what I've noticed considerably. When Im driving and I make left turns or right, Turns it Has a horrible grinding sound. Could that be a sign of a wheelbearing going out ? Please help.

  11. As other have mentioned your videos, even being as old as they are, still emacuikate. While the quality has improved a ton. The principles used and basics are still the same and always has me coming back to watch!

  12. I'm taking a risk driving my car around until I can afford to replace my Inner tie rods on both side and both Front wheel bearings. If I didn't have to pay a bunch of bills, I would replace it when I get paid. But I have to drive my car like this till mid January. Bad tie rods and ball jonts can be driven on a bit longer before it gets worse, wheel bearings have to be replaced as soon as possible.

  13. My whole dodge neon has play very bad in my back driver side all sides like it’s going to fall off is that a wheel bearing it was making a very bad(loud ) noise like it has play in it and it doesn’t even need to be jacked up 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
