*Sponsored Video* I recently installed insulation on my garage doors and was impressed with the results. It only took a couple of hours to install, and the garage is already much warmer, quieter, and brighter thanks to the new insulation.

Be sure to add tension to your lift springs. I did garage doors for 5 years and always had to add tension because insulation has Some weight to it. Not a lot, but enough to make your door heavier. If you have extension springs itβs easy to adjust. But if you have torsion Springs, leave it alone and call the Garage Door guy. Or just leave it and replace your garage door opener every other year.
Nice, but what about the battery directly in the concrete slab? π
Closed cell spray foam.
Oh my! Blast from the past! Havenβt see a video in years
I did that foam board style and a layer of that in my garage.
I used a ceramic fiber for the walls and the foamboard/reflective insulation on the doors. My wood stove will keep the entire garage over 75 in the winter.
You could have just had installed an insulated garage door.
I did something like that. But then I got a new garage door that's what I needed in a long run..
I went thru and did a layer of foam insulation and then foil insulation. Works wonders in Vegas heat
Please get another shop.
I put a big tarp over my car and put milkhouse heater underneath it I put a transmission in that way.
Well I appreciate no one rubbing it in that I don't have a garage.
Maybe I can insulate my tent. lol
(well… I could but it wouldn't be worth it, It would be like putting gold filigree on some scrap iron that's been sitting outside for 50 years).
I thought about doing this myself with some thicker chunks.
…Need a garage first though.
23.9 to 19.8 isn't much of a change at all, going from like 24.0 to 12 or less than it was before yeah I would be like darn right but it was such a mini change not even 15%
Fill your garage with storage stuff
If you have a garage that big save some money clear out your storage
Nice work
The only problem with me doing this to my garage door is the 1/2" gap at the bottom and on the sides π
I did something similar to my own garage door of the same type. I sourced rigid foam panels (about 1-1/2" thick) that had the foil backing. Cut them to size & they have stayed in place nicely partly to the lip on each panel & friction fit. Never had a panel fall out in the fifteen+ years since I installed them. I went from being unable to work in the garage in the summertime (100Β°f+ in the garage) to being able to work comfortably enough aided by a fan.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I needed to tighten up the torsions springs a bit due to the added weight of the foam panels……
Although not cheap I upgraded my garage doors to insulated lamented ones . Made a huge difference in the summer heat of Las Vegas .
Nice! But youβre losing a lot more out the gaps on the bottom door corners.
