2005 Honda Odyssey Give Away (Episode 7) Fixing it Forward

Your donations and my hard work, all pay off in this episode. Yes, it’s time to give away the 2005 Honda Odyssey to a deserving family! In this episode, I do exactly that.

Jennifer’s family fell on hard times during COVID and they ended up in a vehicle that just wasn’t working for them. As you’ll see in the video, our chance meeting has changed all of that.

I’m very proud to have put your donations to good use here. This is the reason I put in the effort, to help people and give them a second chance. I feel I have realized the vision I’ve had for Fixing it Forward from the beginning.

Introducing Fixing it Forward: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfBnTwpEBu0&t=4s

I’m still mulling over the future of Fixing it Forward. There have been new developments that effect my ability to do this work. I’ll get into that in a future episode when I have more information. For now, Fixing it Forward donations are on hold until I figure that out. I still have enough in reserve to do at least one more vehicle. We’ll just take things as they come until then.

I would like to personally thank everyone that donated to help make this happen. I’d also like to thank those companies that donated their products to help me complete this work. Thank you!

  1. Hi how do you fix the keyless entry of 2005 Odyssey? Fob battery is still good at 3.2V. There are times after parking the car locking and unlocking via Fob is working with red led blinking on upon clicking the buttons. Other than that car won't unlock/lock, fob also has no led light. I guess the transponder is not connecting to the antenna receiver of keyless entry system. Any help please?

  2. I have blast watching your videos.
And I am so happy to see the happy camper, who drives this van now.
NOKIAN. I love your tires even more now and I will tell this story to everyone who would listen.

  3. did the flashing the PCM solve the issues with VCM? why some others decides to install a bypass VCM devices so not to deal with VCM if they can reflash the PCM? worse case replace the VCM module instead of bypass it?

  4. Unsettling that she mentions it was a Honda Pilot and the transmission went out. I have a friend who just bought a 2003 a couple months back and I think, "How long is this thing going to last?"

For families like this one, it has to really suck to spend what money they had just to have the car screw up not two weeks later. Thankfully Eric was able to help. Most people are not so lucky.

  5. $800 for tyres? wiwoa wawoa!
Also, cars in America are so frikkin expensive…

Also, again, I hope the series continue and people donate to actually help people in need instead of donating to others who don't actually need it..

  6. It took so long for this project that se have forgotten the previous 6 episodes. Try not to run it too long. Nobody remembers may have lost the appreciation for this work.
