Catalytic converter shields are a great way to prevent catalytic converter theft, but what happens if the O2 sensor in the converter goes bad and you need to replace it? My solution is in the video.

    What a great idea..
    Hope shes running tip top ,
    We got the plaque of Cat verters being stolen big time,
    Thankfully the V 15 year is mounted in the bay ,
    But jazz's ( i don't think you have them in states ) are even now uninsurable…
    Sad state of affairs 😢

  2. A O2 sensor is 22mm NOT 7/8". 7/8 is 22.225mm. The larger size can be a problem trying to remove a stubborn O2 sensor. Aerogenics makes a catalytic cover that does not block the O2 sensors. It fit perfectly on my 2004 CRV.

  3. Hey maybe consider doing the job correctly instead of blaming the mechanic that installed the shield , blame shifting so you can hack you’re daughters shield is weak at best !!

  4. I don't even get why they rivited it. It only needs to be more of a nuissance than going to another vehicle. Bolts would do fine. Especially if they had a keyed head (but even that may be excessive).
