This was certainly one of the more unique builds we saw on our U.K. Santa Pod Raceway trip. A Ford Escort Work Van, boosted to the gils, running 8’s and looking good while doing it. Not bad for a car built to haul around tools and equipment, and definitely not what comes to mind when you picture the fastest FWD Ford in Europe.

Escort vans were everywhere in the 90s, they were common as muck back then and battered from daily commercial use.
To see one now with an RS bonnet and big arches, doing 8s on a zetec is mind blowing and absolutely bloody fantastic.
