I really wonder why Samsung should be seen as competition to the pixel fold. Everything but the design and softwsre is made by samsung. Every unit sold is more money for Samsung. I'd say the pixel fold is 80% Samsung. Samsung themselves should be happy about the pixel fold, since it will bring more foldable-software to android.
Unfortunately Google is pricing their Fold just the same as Samsung and Huawei did back in 2019, with more company's having Foldable's the idea should be to make reduce the price to keeping it at 1300 not money grabbing but at the end of the day it's all about the dollar, and to be fair I'm not seeing anything to far different yet and the crease is not a distraction like reports say, I've had 3 Folding devices🤨
So I heard very bad reviews about the Samsung fold do you think google made the cons of Samsung better in there's
Can someone tell me other than being a pretentious jock douche, what would be the reason I would need to go and burn $1800 on Google's foldable rather than just continuing to enjoy my $1500 like new Z fold 2 I purchased from Bestbuy two years ago. I'm going to keep saying it, outside of us fold owners, no one and mean absolutely no can tell a the difference between my first gen fold, my Z fold 2 the 3 or the Z fold 4. And until my batteries can no longer hold a charge on these devices, I am so done with purchasing another phone device. You pretentious wannabees can have at it. For me it's an infinite hard pass.
Designwise I think the pixel fold is better than the Galaxy fold but the problem is that the pixel fold is still a first-generation fold while the Galaxy fold is the 4th generation in its space …. hence even though I like the pixel fold I will still go with the Galaxy fold …. 🙂 ….
If the Surface Duo is a foldable then the Kyocera Echo was the first foldable to the market.
Google's really not a hardware company these days… thinking you could catch Samsung and others on their first device at the whopping asking price they put out there? I'm almost LMAO over here.
Wayyyyyy too pricey.
Zoom stabilized optical 5x would be great if the standard camera (1x) is not very tiny… And the 5x is in reality a 1x of what you see with your eyes = no zoom at all.
The price alone will kill it on arrival.
There is nothing wrong with the Pixel watch.
Way to expensive….if only the Oppo find N was a global release…perfect size ,better looking, cheaper too.
I am sorry, but SFold 5 for the same price will absolutely demolish this device. I do not understand what is going on here.
huawei mateX3 is the best foldable phone on earth, it makes google pixel fold look like shxt
Too damn expensive
Was that Mario walking past?
Seems Google did not allow any camera tests so far. All YouTubers not showing
Wait, you bellyache over battery life on a Pixel watch? Did you call out Apple over their battery life? PW is the same…. 24 hours. That's a win.
Technically everything is a first Gen. product
Crazy price 😮
This is a killer of Microsoft Duo2
Google Bezel Fold .😂
People complain about the price but thats literally the market price… Not to mention they probably own a $1300 flagship 💀 stop being broke respectfully
If yall are loyal Samsung customer why complain about the price 💀💀💀😂
What if Google isn't competing at all how we think they are? What if they're just moving going in own direction?
How is Google entering the market “late” when less than 1% of Americans own a foldable? 🧐 😊
The hinge isn’t as refIned as the Fold 4? Then you state it is smooth and stops at any angle you want. Well, what else can it do to be “refined” 😂
Undercutting samsung should have been the move to make. It should have been $1100 instad of $1400.
They copied the design from my surface duo 2
People are really using a screen thats too short and folding flat (still with a crease) as an excuse to buy a foldable with a 2021 chipset and 2018 bezels not to mention no stylus support. Another half-baked Google product.
If pixel can't fix its battery life issues and it's programming issues it doesn't matter what kind of phone you make
Bald Ryan Gosling selling the pixel fold well!
THIS PHONE IS A TERRIBLE IDEA AND HERE'S WHY.
#1. $1,799 FOR GOOGLES FIRST GENERATION FOLD PRICED RIGHT WITH SAMSUNGS FOURTH GENERATION FOLD IS ABSURD.
#2. PIXEL 7 PRO HAS A 5,000MAH BATTERY WHILE THE PIXEL FOLD HAS A SMALLER BATTERY AT AROUND 4,700MAH SUPPORTING MULTIPLE SCREENS IS UNDERWHELMING.
#3. THEM BEZELS THICKER THAN A SNICKER. THAT DESIGN IS SO 2016.
#4. THIS PHONE SHOULD'VE GOTTEN THE TENSOR 3 CHIP. TENSOR 2 IS GOOD BUT NOT GREAT. GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE PIXEL 7 SERIES.
IN CONCLUSION? IF YOU'RE GONNA PAY THAT MUCH JUST GET THE GALAXY Z FOLD 4 WHICH IS MILES BETTER!
That crease is hideous. Until I see a foldable phone with a minimal crease, I'll stick to normal phones
Hopefully Google will keep at it and continue releasing foldables. I love the wider form factor but totally agree that Google should have undercut Samsung on pricing. Get more people in and future iterations will be a sure win
these greedy companies really normalizing $1500 phonse above
Big mistake. The crease down the middle, will haunt them. Just like it did with Samsung.
So who manufactures this device?
I don't mind the crease, and I don't mind the Bazel's✨🤓 I know one thing, on the Google pixel fold, the updates are going to come a lot quicker an more often, and if you're a superuser, you know there's more that can be done, SEARCH CODES,An I'M sure developers are going to do custom ROM'S, and with that in mind,THIS PHONE IS A WIN-WIN, it won't end up like The Duo, but only time will tell,An there's only one complaint and that's battery life, we don't know how long the battery life is, ✨🤓 I want one.
the preorder dates are like a month to 3 months out… yeah really appealing lol
I think the form factor, particularly with the thinness and the ability to fold with no gap are they way foldables need to go. I would like to see a less reflective interior surface (which might hide the crease a bit) and the ability to use it with a stylus. Also, it seems that it doesn't fold out completely flat. Pretty good for the first one. Hopefully Google doesn't just give up if they have problems or sales don't go as well as they would like.
I want a pixel clamshell flip phone, not a fold phone that cost almost as much my new computer.
The pixel watch is a companion to my phone not standing alone device. It's a beautiful time piece, it gives us the luxury of a traditional watch is beautiful. Book
Rebranding a 2021 Exynos 2100 chip and trying to sell at the same starting price as the Fold 4 is a grab at non tech savvy consumers that chipset is garbage.
I think Google took a step back on the inner display design with the bezels.. it reminds me of the old portable DVD players or the old flat screen TV with the bezels.. I will stick with Samsung or go with the Xiamoi Mix fold 3..
You can tell it doesn't open up all the way flat..
Definitely not reliable, lot of issues touchscreen problem, battery capacity, heating problem, and price
The beat thing about this is it pressures Samsung now. We all know the fold 5 will be another small update but how will they respond next year with the fold 6?
I have a Fold 4, and honestly, I wish Samsung had done a landscape fold, instead of a portrait fold. That would have made the outside more "standard" phone size, and using splitscreen apps is better in that orientation anyway.
