  1. As an irish man, i have to say its blasphemy to drink Guinness straight from the can, just saying, 😂, keep doing whst ye do ladds

  2. Robertson bits the square ones are actually canadian invented by canadian salesman peter robertson in the early 1900's

  3. Generally speaking from automotive or tractors. A light pre-filter and/or water separator would go before the pump. The real filter would go after the pump

  4. Painting the hell out of that steel might have been the wrong choice. Thick paint is more easy to chip and is affected more strongly by thermal expansion differences. For this kind of situation I would have recommended a thin layer of primer a thin layer of regular paint and then a thin layer of clear coat protection.

  5. Your wood shelf needs to be fully encapsulated in epoxy resin and gel coat, not just paint. Even marine grade wood rots without being encapsulated. Same goes for where you cut the dash.

And filters generally should always be plumbed to the pump inlet. Helps to protect the pump. And both the raw water and cooling water pumps should never be ran dry. The impellors get damaged very quickly.

  6. One thing I see a potential problem in the future is with the location of the ECU's at a low point in the engine compartments where they can get hot next to the engines and another issue is, forbid if any water ever gets in there it could submerge the ECU's, shorting them out and cutting out the engines when you might need them most out in the water. I would wire those ECU's behind the instrument panel when they are in a higher, dryer and cooler location.

  7. To relabel the switches you could make the bezels out of aluminum then get them anodized, then engrave each one, then clear coat the entire bezel.

  8. I'd add some weather stripping and/or gasket around the backside of that dash gauge cut-out and/or the holley screens to protect from any weather that hits the helm.
