  1. The only way i'd touch a flood is fresh water flash flood vehicle. Salt water floods where is soaked forever they couldn't PAY me to touch it.

  2. All in all, you now have a Bentley Continental GT. I'd make the best of it and turn it into a resto-mod. Drop in an old school big bock that literally needs three wires to run, run new wiring for lights, etc. and sell that still good Bentley motor to cover your costs. That will make one helluva ride.

  3. The very first thing that you should do if your car is inundated by saltwater is drive it into a freshwater lake! Otherwise your car is F*ked!

  4. Absolutely the dumbest thing you could have done. I wouldn't show the world I'm that ignorant. I would have towed it to Bentley paid them to open it

  5. watching from Great Britain, I remember seeing footage of a car on a sea slipway that got caught by the tide, engulfed totally, next day on low tide owner started it and drove off, just a roll of the dice.
An attempt to turn a negative into a positive situation will always earn my respect, even if you are slightly mad

  6. You should call this video – "How you should not fix flooded cars", I have never seen such a uneducated and barbarian way of "fix" cars. At least you should know what you do first. You can access to the boot from inside and open the boot without grinder. You MUST NEVER power flooded electronics without drying it and inspected for corrosion BEFORE you gonna power it. Now man… YOU SIMPLY KILLED the good car YOURSELF! Well done!

  7. I do believe that Bentley has a proprietary system encoded in their electronics to stop what you are planning on doing. But hey nothing ventured nothing gained huh? Best of luck brother.

  8. Check out my Bentley GT Rebuild on 6speedonline.
Mine was from Long Island NY, Salt water also, I completely striped the vehicle to a shell, any module that got wet was shot, KESSY module on the drivers floorboard, along with the front body control module, all seat modules and motors, etc. The wiring harness is one piece from the tail lights to the headlights, wherever the water got inside the vehicle, the pins would just fall apart in the plug sockets, I replaced the complete wiring harness, every module in the vehicle, the engine, transmission, ecu's instrument cluster, I purchased from a wrecked 2011 Supersports, the seats I took my red leather off and installed on the parts vehicle seat frames, it goes on and on, but in the long run, holycrap, what a car, 646HP, 647TQ with the AWE Supersports exhaust system.

The engine was shot because the previous owner left all the Hurricane Sandy flood water in the cylinders, which in turn fused the pistons to the walls, I was able to salvage the crankshaft, rods, wrist pins and all bearings, which I sold to a gentleman in Spain for a engine rebuild.

Call me if you have any questions.

  9. FYI, I met someone that owns a couple of used car dealers and he told me that these flood cars are NOT something to get involved with. He knows another dealer that tried to sell a flood car and didn't tell the customer that it was, and he got caught and has to serve prison time for that HUGE mistake.

I would think even parting one of these things out you'd have to also mention it was a flood car part.

Word to the wise, don't buy flood cars, that moniker will stay with it. Now, if you're just playing around with it and you have no intention of selling it or any parts from it without full disclosure, then maybe that's fine, but I would touch these things.

  10. I've seen loads of these Flood Bought Auction Vehicles and although they do have there problems, I think most of them have turned out to be really good deals….I think when people hear flooded it kind of scared them off even more so in today's world with Keyless Start ,Electronic E Brake etc dtc

  11. You are in WAY over your head. I laughed when you said you were thinking of buying another wrecked Bentley to help you fix this one. Good luck

  12. Thanks for telling us how much you paid, however I think you are not telling the truth.($14KUS) $1400 would be more accurate. The car is junk. You know it's junk, I know it's junk. And George Bush knows it's junk. You could have saved the trunk by getting a kid in there to flip the lever. But at $1400 dollars, no big loss.

  13. What a beautiful car when it came off the assembly line. I like to swim in South Florida (Atlantic side) water. This car is good for parts. Not much else. An anchor for a lake boat.

  14. Any car that's been flooded is bad news, this is a car controlled totally by electronics and is even more so than the average car. The labour involved in stripping out the electronics and cleaning them will involve hundreds of hours and that's even if they are salvageable. The best thing for that vehicle is parting it out. No doubt the engine alone is worth good money, then you have the body shell, doors panels etc.

  15. It looks like you have 2 Valet keys…Mine has a door lock, unlock and trunk (boot) key button….Pull out the rear trim and you will see a cable…
