Some nutserts and bolts to hold the panels on would be a great way of securing them. They are used a lot on military vehicles, so they will work here.
Im just now comming across this car. This thing is so sick. As for the matte black look you would like to see, i agree. A matte black would make this thing also look more like a stealth fighter. Imo

It's a great looking vehicle but a few things need seen to like the front mud guards need to be more rigid and I think it would look better with perspex on the cockpit but for dealing with rain instead of window wipers you could air forced fast over the screen to keep the water from it,if you need anymore ideas ,then we me know the problems as I mostly find a way to sort a problem
