Please bring back this series with a new hull and a fuel tech! Or sell me the boat and I’ll do it!
For one thing to design of the hole is garbage so what's going on make it hard to learn when you have garbage to learn on
What gear box is that
Just because you can run over plants on the water does not mean that you should!
Hey that's my neck of the woods! Good people and a chill place. What a cool boat too. I have to build some strange engine powered airboat now.
when you drive it on gravel and concrete you grind of the botto0m.
Keep it on wet grass.
You need a wider longer boat.
very cool. put a cover on that turbo going thru that grass lol. need to pitch them blades out.
Regardless of a power plant, there's still only two kinds of airboaters. Those that have sunk, & those that will sink!
Turns are to be made at an idle or on a plane only… u made my ass pucker a few times, thinking yes this boat is meeting the bottom.
That great idea was a 4 cylinder motor with a Turbo
You need to lower your center gravity on that boat needed to drop that motor down about 3 feet But I have my hair but my problem swinging within 2 inches of bottom of the boat I need to tell your mother's too high for when you guys on it on dry ground was picked ass end up and nose over
Two quick observations guys. You have to consider your weight distribution. You have a lot of weight on the back have of the hull, add the captain and you start getting the pendulum effect. Got to move it around, like moving the fuel cell and battery. Maybe moving the captain to the front. Also, I think you running a gear box, like a 2 to 1? That allows you to turn the motor at a max of 6,000 RPMs while keeping the prop at 3,000 RPMs Anything above 3,000 RPMs the prop reaches what known as the critical point of departure. In other words, you props can simply fragment. Also you have to insure you air push is correct. This is done by raising and lowering the back of the motor, never allowing you prop to go lower then 4 inch’s below the transom. I really like the Honda motor idea. I’m not sure at what RPMs that motor turns the HP on at. But keep that prop no more then 3,000 RPMs. As a safety note, never walk behind the boat when the blades are turning. A simple washer or any object that gets in the prop becomes a bullet as it’s slung out the back. And that prop will suck every loose item into it. Stay safe and ride.
From a old air boater, brother never put your drain plugs on the outside of the boat. Something can catch the ring and pull them out. Always on the inside. Ride safe.
Does it have enough torque?
Needs difference fans for low horse power . Needs 3 thick blades for more push, the slims ones are for high horse power, makes it more smoother
Change the wire on the cage to 4inch by 4 inch and you’ll gain so much speed
Exactly what kind of engine pistons turbo everything engine wise did you use along with gear reduction?
13' minimum
Put it on a laser style hull
It's a hard Chine hull. No good for your setup
Would you sell that????
Need a longer and wider hull
You green horns don't have a clue you don't put rabbit wire on your cage you can adjust your prop to get more push you really don't have a clue do you
Never get into the throttle from a dead stop while turning….you'll sink it fast. The back corner of the hull will go strait underwater.
It was pebbles that put a hole in the hull. Lol
put the engine completely straight, then it will be even better. at least check if the engine is straight" because it raised the stern" when you drove to the shore.
This is cool as heck bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Do you want to sell it
Fine with 2 people you just need to run in shallow water. Like 6 inches. Other tip very easy to sink from the back wash. Always slow down easily until your wake lifts the stern up
Need a gear reduction to spin that prop faster
You need to get the boat on a plane and it won’t bog down
how can i buy a airboat fan pls.
Lower the motor and it will help with the tippy feeling. Your prop should be a beer can height off the bottom of the boat.
lower the seats dudes 🤍🌞🙌😇
Dudes, I'm trying to learn about these Honda engines for 3-bladed prop applications. I got a dream of a 1/2-scale B-25 WWII Bomber using the FIT engine 1.5L with a turbo on each wing. I'm going to try and copy the genius Mr. Tom Hodgson and his 4-engine B-29. Can a FIT be turboed? if so what HP do you think it would produce? You guys ROCK!
tuning a air boat with a laptop on the seat is something i never thought i'd see
Surface drive next
Love the boosted airboat content. Here is a interesting video of a guy that did a airboat to hovercraft conversion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SWLr9E0T0o
Keep up the good work kyle.
cool guys, you could modify your trailer to hinge in middle, the hovercraft guys use that style of trailer.
I would not ride that in Floridas gatorwaters!
Hmmm I think you should upgrade the boat asap or you won’t get the most out of the k24.
