On January 3, 2023, Two people were arrested in connection to a possible bank fraud scam. One was caught using a fake id and pretending to be the owner of the account.
He was trying to deposit a money order, obtain full information about the account and then come back later to make a withdrawal.
His accomplice left when he saw police cars, but was tracked by an automated license plate reader system and was arrested moments later.
They were charged with forgery in the first degree and identity fraud using identifying information of another and transported to DeKalb County Jail.
