Pemberton, New Jersey — On April 20, 2023, police received a 9-1-1 call about an incident in which two of the involved parties, later identified as 41-year-old John Nutt and his passenger, left the area riding a motorcycle. Officer Laquan Jett of the Pemberton Township Police Department, attempted to stop the motorcycle in connection with that investigation. A pursuit ensued, during which the motorcycle collided with an uninvolved minivan, on County Route 687 West, near the intersection with Davis Street. The crash resulted in the death of Nutt, and left his passenger, whose identity is not being released, seriously injured. The passenger was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition and was later released. The two occupants of the minivan declined medical treatment.

I’d be willing to bet the family of John Nutt and his girlfriend get a payday from the city and the police department on this one. Police chasing a guy on a scoot over an alleged battery. Sounds like Nutt was a local and the police could’ve caught up with him eventually to investigate the alleged crime.

I feel super bad for the Mom/Dad just going along in their daily life, stopping at stop signs and I'll bet their insurance and registration as well as license is all up to date, paid and current. Then these two shit-bags plow into them fleeing from the Cops…. What an absolute day ruining experience. Hopefully the mini wasn't damaged badly, and at the very least they got to witness the show! If you're gonna Dumb, ya gotta be Tough. This fella died like a Wuss, at least his "Lady" had the balls to live and face the consequences.
