  1. Officer discretion? Serving and protecting? These cops are garbage Target just lost my business forever. And these cops need some jail time for what they did to a mentally challenged Individual.

  2. This is so shameful. That man was doing absolutely nothing wrong. Those cops and the target employees that were involved in this should be fired and sued. As for the customers that complained, well I hope that they are put in the same situation some day. Carma.

  3. Stupid cop he just wanted to abuse someone. Didn't even try to understand what was going on that cop shouldn't ever be able to be a cop again. Real piece of crap. As they say earning the hate .

  4. Just imagine if the cops helped him pay for his bike gave him a ride and maybe even reprimanded the employees for being rude. Theyd be praised for actually doing their jobs, but no they do this… damn shame!

  5. The police idiot could have leaned the bike on it's kickstand, but instead leaned it so it will fall if it gets touched.

  6. Sorry James,as much as I would like to boycott Target as a protest for the way they treated this man, I can't because I haven't been in a Target in years! All I can do at this point is add it to the list of reasons I won't be going back to that business.

  7. I hope the police and target regret this so much they will suffer indefinitely over Thia!!! It wasn't like they only had one register. How convenient nobody that has any authority is available. Boycott this Target market the Investors sweat.

  8. To believe, they could have just politely insisted that the man transfer his items to a normal checkout line where a cashier could have taken his cash so he didn't need to struggle putting it in the machine. It's funny because bad publicity is the very last thing Target needs right now. I really hope they throw the book at that cop instead of finding him not guilty or giving him like a week of probation. Compare his behavior with this video of a CHP officer helping a deaf woman at the DMV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BbwY4EgJjo. These assholes have no excuse.

  9. There is a reliable correlation between mental illness and violence.

Someone who is mentally ill is much more likely to be a victim of violence than the average person.

  10. Target needs to retrain their management and employees once again on interacting and assisting people with disabilities.
Hopefully there are still some decent people in New Mexico. The fact that ordinary people and store employees let that happen leaves a bad taste in my mouth. 😠
