Grass Valley, California — Grass Valley police released body camera footage showing a police officer rescuing a man from a burning house. Officers were called to the home on East Empire Street for reports that a person was trapped inside on Feb. 18. Officers first checked the front of the home and were met with nothing but smoke and flames. Officer Jonathan Brown was running out of options when he made the decision to check inside a side door, according to the Grass Valley Police Chief Alex Gammelgard. That’s when he found the man, identified in the video as Corey, who lived there inside, on the ground.

The officer is heard shouting the man’s name, and kicking in a side door where he found Corey unconscious on the ground. He grabbed Corey’s feet and dragged him out of the house “I got him,” the officer is heard saying on the video. “Go get a medic!”. The man had third-degree burns to his legs and may have burned his lungs, but medics got to him in time. He is still at the UC Davis Medical Center healing from severe burns but is in stable condition.

  1. These cops are heros. I hate that the political left makes them all out to be racist pigs. It’s untrue-bad eggs yes but we deal with them (Chauvin)

  2. Que want me estoy think policia when you police chase you want me policia when you going when you August 2020 you going when you going police officers when you going

  3. Look at 1:45 then 2:23 That cop for sure saved his life, the fire would have gotten to him in another minute or 2. Did he go back to see if there was anyone else?

  4. Imagine he was on hes way out the house through the side door, but he knocked out cold by the door when the cop kicked it open.. 😀

  5. Love or hate the police they will still lay down there live for you. Be it pull you out of a burning car or house they are here for you. All they ask it fallow what they say. Is that too hard to ask. They will help you in a hart beat and what do some of us do try to kill them.

  6. the comments make no notice of the person trying to put out the fire coming out of the window with a garden hose, trying his/her best
