Germany sure has a lot of women in power making their military decisions not sure if wise or not. If i was german with son or daughter in military i would be pissed thry not spending the two percent they originally agreed as translating to me they don't care about my child by providing best equipment, training, repairs needed for military to run efficiently just my opinion. I remember 10 years ago talk that germany was supossed to unite most of Europe as one standardized army and be a serious power this never happened.

Sorry but being German and knowing many who have done the voluntary military service I can tell you that the German Bundeswehr has so many problems which take up a lot of money. For instance: (excuse bad translations please I will translate words literally) The company (Kompanie) my friend served in had a storage for 12 armoured troop transport vehicles. They only had 3, they had to lend one and another was out of service to a private company for 6 weeks to fix a bend trailer hatch whilst military mechanics sat around doing nothing. When you join you get to see so many vehicles, equipment but the German army has nearly nothing working and war ready.
Its so bad that the liberal party and even the green party want a military parade to show the horrible money sink that is the German army. The German army also has issues with politics as AKK predecessor was a women willing to take down companies and advisors who did a great job to keep her vest clean, see the whole "The G36 deforms when shot" when in reality after an hour of sustaining heavy fire it could still shoot accurate to 250m.

Germany could take a reverse-Versailles approach. Whereas in the 1920's 30's they furtively rearmed whilst being banned from doing so now they could just as easily pretend to be spending on armaments while really channeling that money out the back door into social spending.
Well, Trump uses the military budget to build his wall. Germany has to improve infrastructure. So the Germans could increase their military budget to 2.0 GDP and use it for briges and autobahn 🙂

The Gern Forces are a desaster: Just abt. 90 tanks in service, APC Puma useless until upgrade for a mere 3 Bio. € for just 32 of them, no Sub., no new standard rifle, no winter tents, clothing etc., hardly 4 of the 90s "Typhoon" ready for service.Tornadoes have to be cannibalized to let the 6 in Jordania fly. The A 400 can't use poor runways and carry heavy loads.The list goes on and on.
