Today, figures such as George Zimmerman, Kyle Rittenhouse, and most recently, Daniel Penny, carry on this shameful American tradition. And the far right can’t get enough of it. Spencer Ackerman joins The Marc Steiner Show to examine the right’s embrace of vigilante violence, which he recently wrote about for The Nation, and what it tells us about the future the far-right wants.

According to ADL (hardly a right wing front) if you added up all the killings by white supremacists since the end of the civil war it amounts to about 3000 deaths. Last year over 20000 blacks were killed by other blacks. More than 6 times the total number since the civil war killed by whites. What about interracial crime now. Black on white crime outnumbers white on black crime 10 to 1. In very serious crime the numbers are even more skewed black on white rape outnumbers white on black rape 250 to 1. Berry picking a few rare examples doesn’t cut it. Black crime is a serious issue. White crime isn’t wether it’s interracial or not.
Now that the police can’t protect us now they don’t want us to protect ourselves. Dilbert was right there is no fixing this you just have to move away from it. NYC is now emptying into Florida. Penny didn't even mean to kill Neely and tried to resuscitate him after, and other people assisted in the restraint, and everyone who was in that subway car agreed it was necessary and thanked him.
Neely had a long history of being a violent criminal and was threatening people on the subway. His death is his own fault.
