I would think they need the CIA for perpetual wars, perpetual UN agendas and covert colonizing of countries – which are policies that for the most part do not benefit the US, or any other country.

They tried unsuccessfully 625 times to assassinate Fidel Castro, even while our government spent trillions of dollars in today's money to undermine countries like Cuba and the DDR to prove "socialism doesn't work".
