The U.S. military launched strikes on more than 85 targets manned by Iran-backed fighters in western Iraq and eastern Syria in retaliation for a drone strike in Jordan last week that killed three U.S. service members and injured 40 others. The deadly attack on Jan. 28 at Tower 22 in Jordan near the Syria border further increased tensions and Friday’s retaliation was expected. Some have asked why strikes were conducted on Iraq and Syria, but not Iran. Ret. US Army Maj. Mike Lyons tells LiveNOW from FOX’s Josh Breslow why that didn’t happen.

I don't understand why we have troops in dozens upon dozens of bases in these countries. IF.. IF there is a direct threat to our security from these people in their outpost.
