2. That's a good explanation of the difference between law and equity. The distinction is not commonly understood, even where the civil system diverges, at least in part, into separate courts.

Get Ben or Karen, or others- Judge Luttig's opinion is well worth hearing; he was a really good lawyer and has a great outlook. Although he was once a part of the Federalist system, it is starting to look like a lot of Leonard Leo's step children are not "perfect Federalist candidates. And for Judge Luttig's time at it, it didn't really appear as political as it has finally become. Several of Donnie's appointments have shown themselves to be very good at being fair minded and equable managers of their courts- they were damn good lawyers before Leo got hold of them is my bet. But vote me "Hell, yeah! on the "gory details"; I not only want to know the axe is sharp, I want to know how it got that way and the costs if it doesn't stay sharp.
