what should really be offensive to people following this freakish period of our national civics, is that it is assumed that a Trump appointed judge or a Biden appointed judge is going to decide the same laws in opposite ways. I mean sure, maybe one is more or less attached to original intent of the framers or whatever, but the whole basis for why people are supposed to hold the judiciary at all levels with a baseline amount of respect and expectation of enlightened wisdom is that it is their job to apply their judgement to laws, precedent and the Constitution in the framework of history. We shouldn't be able to say "oh Sotomeyor is a liberal judge of course she's pro-life," or "Alito is a Republican who can be counted upon to vote like a MAGA." We count on those 9 people to be above the fray and apply rational principles to what the entire rest of the country is bickering about, otherwise they are just a higher tier of political cronies and hacks. And if we are resigned to them being cronies and hacks aligned with one party and not with the nation, then stop appointing them for life as if they are a neutral group of legal nerds who will always do the sensible thing until they drop dead.
It's time for dumb-dumb to realize that not all judges work for him. Just because he appointed them to the bench does mean that they owe him shit, regardless of a judges' political affiliation they have a job to do and should follow the rule of law.

Oh I finally twigged: the owners of most the GOP and some of the Dems don't WANT immigration of poor folks normalized because they like paying, or even not paying, chump change to the desperate-and-hiding who can't go to the law. They've propagandized 1/3rd of the country to see it in a fearful and racialized frame to keep this inhumane set up going (and making inroads on the rest of us). When ICE arrest half the workers at a meat packing plant for "illegal" (misdemeanor) status, they never arrest or charge those who hired them, do they?

What a misinformed disgusting video…yeah they decreased illegal immigration by 45% only if you count the four or five countries that this program covered and they already had financial support before being processed.
