The referendum mentioned in the UK failed not so much because of the question but because the Conservatives and media allies lied through their teeth. It also wasn't exactly for PR, rather for the Alternative Vote system which would still be better. It would mean MPs no longer getting elected solely on plurality.

The electoral college system should be abolished and replaced with a plebiscite. Only then will America’s presidential election be considered free and fair.

I’m 82…President Biden made promises he’s not kept before Primary…Promised student debt cancellation in enormous amounts then cut the amount somewhat and gave more to BIG Oil and others…sad for the young who have half paid and are working hard still paying for years. My grand son is one whom I know and now his brother filling close behind…not encouraging the young voters. But very encouraging to Big Oil, Big Pharma etc, he will lose the votes of GenZ and grandparents

If the media were to give Biden as much coverage on the number of laws his administration signed/passed and its positive effects on people, as they would give negative coverage on Trump, we would be a more informed electorate as a whole.
We need a NATIONAL DASHBOARD that details each candidate's agenda and accomplishments. Then, hopefully those of us who think before we vote can be better informed
