2. I hate to say it because I’d love to see Trump placed in pre-trial detention, but if the judge wants to guarantee the US Supreme Court inserts itself into these proceedings then that’s the way to do it.

So let me get this right… his 'right to defend himself against political attacks' is more important than the court's obligation to protect the integrity of the trial and the safety of the witnesses? Mkay… but isn't being involved in politics voluntary? So he doesn't HAVE to subject himself to political attacks. I have never been attacked politically, so would I be able to ask the court to let me lie and threaten people involved in any criminal cases against me?

    I am just so done with this garbage. The one thing that I have always thought about Trump is that at least he has highlighted a LOT of places in our government and justice system that MUST be addressed for us to have any confidence in it again.
