6. Only the auditors can express an opinion as to whether the financial statements are misstated or not simply because the are the ones who possesses the professional competence to do so. The judge cannot express an opinion on the fair presentation of financial statements because in the first place, he did not examine these statements. INDEPENDENT CPAs ARE THE ONLY PROFESSIONAL TO EXPRESS OPINION ON FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

If the allegation of the prosecution is that the financial statements of Trump is misstated , I.e., then what Trump should do is to submit as evidence the External Auditor’s Report stating that in their opinion, the financial statements were OREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GENERALLY ACCEPTED SCCOUNTING PRINCIPLES. The judge or whoever is never in a better position to opine that the financial statements are misstated than the auditors because the latter examined those financial statements following GENERALLY ACCEPTED AUDITING STANDARDS. This case is as simple as that.
