Trump must pay E. Jean Carroll .3 million in damages in defamation trial | LiveNOW from FOX

A federal jury decided former President Trump must pay E. Jean Carroll more than $83 million in damages.

The jury decided Trump must pay $18.3 million in compensatory damages, and $65 million in punitive damages.

Trump took the stand briefly on in his defense, before storming out of court.

On the way out of the courtroom, Trump repeatedly said: “This is not America.”

Trump posted on his TRUTH Social shortly after the verdict was read: “Absolutely ridiculous! I fully disagree with both verdicts, and will be appealing this whole Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party. Our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon. They have taken away all First Amendment Rights.”

A federal jury in New York City decided last year that Trump was not liable for rape but was liable for sexual abuse and defamation.
