This is Not a Drill: Towards A New Majority

In the final sprint to election day, most organizers are laser-focused on the imperative of defeating the authoritarian threat represented by a second Trump term. Many are also focused on the work needed to drive us forward after election day, whatever the result, to continue to build the movements we need.
On this special episode of This is Not a Drill, hosts Adam Gold and Rishi Awatramani talk with some of the most important organizers leading ambitious strategies to not only win in November, but build a majoritarian movement for racial justice and radical economic democracy. Join us as we talk to Thenjiwe McHarris, Maurice Mitchell from the Working Families Party, Cindy Wiesner, a volunteer with the Frontline, and NTanya Lee from LeftRoots.*

  1. Impressive!

The problem you have is that you are in a minority. This didn’t bother the Bolsheviks, but it will be a bother for you.

Condemn, if you please, the White Working classes as racists, bigots, and rather undesirable (deplorable) people, and even if you do not, that narrative has been publicised for you. You need their support, alliance, and they need some sort of or degree of Socialism, National Socialism, or some sort of Leonine (XIII) Catholic Social policy, (call it Fascism if you like). Faced with the real prospect of Socialism, real money crawls out of some very expensive woodwork.

The Donald is probably out of his depth, in the face of the developing economic crisis, both acute and chronic, which does require radical adaptive policies. He has neglected to sustain with unemployment support a considerable tranche of those on whom his electoral success depends. Kamala is likely to depend altogether on the advice of the Neo-liberal mainstream Economists, which should help bring down the system.

  2. This is crazy, the answer is just to defeat President Trump with an empty suit. I especially love the comments about conservatives causing destruction and being dangerous. Have you seen blm and antifa burning down buildings and cars and injuring people or killing them. Why don't you guys just join society and stop the bullshit. I was a Democrat for years but wouldn't vote any one in at any level.

  3. Everyone thinks Biden will do something useful. He has pretty much already told you that he wont. So why do you delude yourselves. Vote third party so you can sleep at night because the next four years will be four more years of failing healthcare, environmental destruction acceleration, unemployment, hunger, continuation of failing gov’t and education, wars.

  4. Think you are making the same mistake as 2016. the people love Trump, while Biden hasn’t bothered ro travel to see and talk to the voters.Black people like Trump too, although I imagine you can’t see this.

  5. Did anyone associated with this channel ever learn the Pledge of Allegiance?
America is not now, nor has it ever been, a democracy.
