  1. For 20 years the U.S. has done economic and financial blockade to Venezuela, freezing their bank accounts to pay for food, farming and medicines, crumbling their economy and forcing their population to migration exodus. Now the U.S. is doing a coup and they want to show themselves as "saviours". Juan Guaidó, a George Washington University graduate, is a CIA ASSET. His job is to turn Venezuela's oil to the U.S. and then leave. The U.S. doesn't care about the Venezuelan people, but just want to ROB VENEZUELA'S OIL!!!!

  2. Pence poses a clear and present danger to the future of the US! If Venezuela defaults on its’ loans to China, Russia and Turkey the resulting transfer of national assets would bring about a dangerous international crisis!🐸

  3. So Maduro has no legitimate claim to power ? except for the free and fair election that he won ! Those that don't know much history of the US in south America should at least watch the film 'The Chicago Boys' to get a little understanding of the terrible crimes committed.

  4. Just listening to what our Government is doing to Venezuela gives me dry heaves! For its exactly what they are doing to our 800,000 Federal Workers trying to FORCE the Dem controlled Congress to give Trump what he wants for his Crony's/Contractors, when while the Republicans were in the Majority they would not do so either! One has to say, what is up with this? Fellow Americans, if you SEE/HEAR what Trump is doing in Venezuela in Comparison what he is doing to our 800,000+ Federal Workers, then you are just WAITING for it to happen to you! Dear God when is this NIGHTMARE going to END?
How our Military can FOLLOW the instructions of our American Dictator's is just horrible! For they are SACRIFICING their LIVES, whereby those in Power never served a Day and used whatever Associations/Connections they had, NEVER to serve in the Military! Cheney and Trump are the Worse and the 1st to place our Troops in harms way!

  5. Pence doesn’t speak for me. I don’t approve of yet another CIA-engineered operation to overthrow Maduro, who was elected by the people to lead the country.

  6. The truly terrifying part about all this is that the MSM including FB and Twitter are silencing Maduro supporters and spreading false narratives about the situation. Both "left" and "right" media outlets are on board, behind them the MIC and Exxon mobile, BP, etc. US citizens are almost entirely clueless about what is actually happening in the world and their own country. THANK YOU REAL NEWS!

  7. Both Chavez and Maduro have sought conciliation with the "opposition" over and over again since the failed coup in 2002. Every time they tried the oligarchy redoubled their efforts to overthrow and destroy Chavismo. With respect to Mr Willpert his advice here is terrible, the opposition will institute a regime of fascistic terror as soon as they have the armed forces at their disposal. It is not simply Maduro they wish to overthrow it is the street level revolution that was always the best part of Chavismo, the fact that many millions of working class Venezuelans are directly involved in political life. That's what the oligarchy wish to uproot and that's why they won't stop this terror they are imposing. If anything it is surely time for Maduro to call upon the Venezuelan workers to defend the revolution and take control of the resources hordes by the rich, leaving the, in place for so long has only led to this point of crisis.

  8. Excellent discussion from Alex Main.
But should'nt the moderator also included that Gregory Wilpert is married to the now-expelled Venezuelan Ambassador to Ecuador — not exactly an independent analyst.

  9. Pence shud stfu n leave PLANNED coups to the OG's of neocolonialism, Bolton n Pompeo, otherwise we'll do wat Indiana did to Pence – kick his ass out! SMH

  10. This right-wing coup could have been prevented if Chavez had build socialism right in 1999. But he did not and kept the capitalist class alive. Even Nicolas Maduro never expropriated the rich and those who owned large sections of the economy. Chavez and Maduro failed to understand how to build a socialist society as they were led by failed models of top-down government centralism, both in the Stalinist model and social democratic one. Now the right-wing is ready to take power, they have been waiting for this since Chavez died in 2013. A civil war is now more then ever possible. It would put worker against worker as many sections of the working class are alienated by the corruption, authoritarianism and years of mismanagement by Maduro. These workers will join the right-wing in their desperation as poverty is at a record high. Others will defend Maduro out of rejection of imperialism and ignoring his contribution to the fact that capitalism is still alive in Venezuela!

  11. Pence and Trump are criminals and should be locked up. Get the US out of other countries business. They pose no threat to us or their neighbors. We need to clean house at home and stop bullying other countries.

  12. Those who support ignoring legitimate elections in Venezuela like Trump, May, Trudeau are enemies of the people’s will.

  13. The U.S. Congress… all those leoliberal Democrats who ignored what Obama did in South America for eight years… actually DO something to oppose Trump when they can just yammer about Putin and Impeachment? Do something FOR people instead of against them, for a change? Admit that they are part and parcel of a bullying nation that rides roughshod over the world and does all it can to undermine democracy wherever it has the temerity to rise? That'll be the day.

  14. Sorry, Greg Wilpert, but what you say is full of shite. The Venezuelan power has not stopped making concessions to the criminal lunacies of the opposition. Nothing less but killing Maduro is what they want, and as a specialist about Venezuela, you are supposed to know it very well. Would you "make concessions" to the like of Pence or Bolsonaro asking: "Mr. Maduro could you put that noose around your neck and jump"?! Would you have said so to Hugo Chávez during the 2002 US-led coup attempt against him? Would you have said so to Bashar Al Assad, in Syria, three years ago?

  15. Not in my name!! World "leaders" who support the new US regime change attempt, YOU are illegitimate !!
US go home and look your citizens in the eye!! The US citizens will have no power until they DESTROY the US Military-Industrial-Congressional (plus Intelligence and the Medias) Complex who lead them… by the nose into a failed war after another.
Yes, a few number of corrupt people profit from war. Apparently, THEY have got the power. Where is the US citizen?

  16. I have no idea what language is Maduro even speaking but i understand he's saying US is meddling in to get Venezuelian oil lol

  17. The whole thing Venezuela was that the government nationalized the oil industry. In the early 1970s about the time of oil embargo to the USA by OPEC. foreign-owned companies were told that when their leases ran out, they needed to vacate the property, all plant and equipment stayed with the land. Land leases are routinely done this way, improvements revert to the landowner when the lease runs out. But the foreign oil companies are still fuming and this administration is owned by the fossil fuel industry they want that oil back in private hands. They want to rip off the citizens of Venezuela of their rightful ownership. The USA is a preditor.

  18. This administration has a 35% approval rating, never had over 50% approval rating, and lost the popular presidential vote by 3 million…Pence should not be speaking for all Americans on this. Most Americans do not support the wars or regime changes.

  19. I'd like to hear from those stellar defenders of international order who bewail the purported interference by Russia in the 2016 U.S. election. In particular, I'd like to know whether they have any problem at all with Washington's policy of starving Venezuela and violently overthrowing its elected President.

  20. US meddling again, America hates socialism, this is interference by the US to force change in Venezuela , not the first time US and CIA have been operating in central and south America., Behind the US's backing of regime change is the US big OIL machine. Masuro is the elected President of Venezuela also it is a sovereign state within Latin America. A dangerous situation is appearing in Latin America with the rise of the far right. I really hope Cuba and Russia stand by Venezuela and advise and give assistance to get round the crippling sanctions imposed by the US. Left alone and given experienced assistance on how to manage their mineral wealth, Venezuela can achieve all their social and economic goals.
