I appreciate the optimism that having children affected by COVID-19 in very red states like Florida & Georgia might finally be the trigger for Republicans to change policy, but after we watched school after school get shot up by sociopathic a-holes and Republicans didn’t blink an eye, I have no hope. They simply cannot afford to have sympathy for any child, because it might cost them a dollar from a billionaire funder.

only I see in this is a lot of symptoms on the problem that most countries don´t have a real democratic system( like the one they have in Switzerland) were elit, political and administration are forced to follow and protect the individuals choises, rights and assets…..instead of be a corrupt, superior cancer on them.
Trump will pass, but the system that made him President will persist. And it is that system that must be overcome, because otherwise others even worse than Trump will come. It is time to join and organize. The old motto "Workers of the world unite" is more necessary today than ever. As a European, what I admire the most about the US is not its Hollywood mythology, nor its imperial power, what I admire the most is its people; like Angela Davis, Malcom X, Michael Parenti, Charles Ruthenberg, Louis Fraina … And finally, the people who fight for true freedom and for social justice.
I sincerely hope that the American people will win and that a more just and caring society will emerge from their struggle. From Spain with Love.
Do you remember those old cowboy movies where the bad guys would make the good guy "dance" by shooting the ground near his boots? Well, THAT is Trump's "strategy".
