excellent conversation. it sometimes takes an immigrant to reach out without bias, most people born here are indoctrinated to hate the other side, a real problem in america. i was so turned off by my right wing family i literally moved away from them as far as i could get. they are those who will never change, no matter how many times you prove them wrong. they literally vote against their own self interests to keep other people down… it's beyond infuriating…
but we definitely have to stop thinking in terms of "blue state" vs. "red state", i'm a progressive in a red state and feel abandoned by democrats, who i know longer identify with, it's really hard to tell someone that republicans are corrupt corporate puppets for the 1% when top tier democrats have abandoned the working class for the same corporate donor…
i'm of the mind that humanity isn't worth saving, it can't even save itself, even as we spiral out of control with global warming, mass inequity, pollution, oppressive governments, pandemics… instead of coming together to help save ourselves and the earth, we will continue fighting until nothing is left to save.

I just read a book talking about White oversensitive (really Fragility). It said the ten richest people in the USA are White. But six of them are of a small demographic, 1%, and who claim not to be White. So, which is it? Why do they not talk about them?
Urban and rural voters share most class interests. The bipartisan neoliberal establishment is the real enemy of labor and families and the 99%. There are racist Trump supporters to be sure, but a lot of them just think conservatives are better for jobs and families even though that isn't true. They haven't realized the problem with the left isn't that they're too liberal, it's that the left is also too conservative or neoliberal on economics which is how both sides favor the rich.
