  1. I hope Russia is fully aware of this plan and is playing the chumps rght back. I'd be surprised if Russia would allow itself to be divided from China and Iran, their two most powerful allies and even more to trust the US to keep it's enticing promises.

  2. Prof.Horne is a buffoon himself if he thinks that Maxine Waters is any kind leader and is akin to the description that he applied to Reagan's later days in office.

  3. We have been in space for sixty years with the Russians. Do y’all hang out with your enemies? I hate trump too but if you think Russia is our enemy you are straight up stupid. It’s another money grab.

  4. Trump and Bannon are still not that smart. Supposing they do have this strategy in mind to try to isolate Chna – it's obviously not going to work, and we don't have to fear a strategem which is so obvious. Russia is never going to allow itself to be turned against China, or Iran, in my estimation, because they know full well, as the Chinese know, that the US MIC in it's relentless creation of new wars to sell missiles and bombs to the US military is their real enemy and that if they don't hang together they'll be hung seperatly, and the same applies to allowing US warmongers to gobble up Syria and Iran, because then they're next. So we don't have to fear the "sneakiness" of Trump and Bannon, because if such a strategy exists, it's stupid and obvious and bound to fail. The USA has nothing with which to bribe Russia which can outweigh what Russia has to gain through the massive Chinese infrastructure investment in central asia and Siberia, and the development and enlarged trade across Eurasia which is going to follow from it, and in any case as we've seen with Trump's abandonment of the Iran Nuclear deal, US promises, especially from him and the Washington neo-cons are utterly worthless nowadays.

  5. Just like every one blames Putin for what Russia does, even though it's the Russian Oligarchs who give Putin his orders, Trump gets blamed for what his administration does, when it's his advisors who tell Trump what to do. The question is who does the Trump advisors get their orders from?

  6. "Boo bait for the bubba"? Did I catch that correctly? Lovely turn of phrase, whatever it was! Thank you for this very useful interview. Bless TheRealNews and this interviewee.

  7. Fucking finally.

That's the first time I've seen someone point out publicly that the NATO spending demands are nothing more than a demand for tithe. Its not like the money vanishes and security magically increases.

The money goes into the pockets of American defense manufacturers.

    This guy's cool.

  8. Mr Horne's analysis points toward a strategy to divide Russia and China in an attempt to ensure US global hegemony. Could Russia and China then align to counter this US strategy to retain total global market control?

  9. Trump was hired by Sheldon Adelson to be a salesman for Israel. No one mentions the huge oil reserve off the shores of Israel, Leviathan, that is now up and running and ready to distribute – to the EU! The only reason China is viewed as a threat is because they don't allow the private banking industry to run amok like the west does, mismanaging government finance, shaking down nations for assets and resources because they've all been dishonorably thrown into debt. Austerity and this financial terrorism of the west must end!

  10. Excellent interview. I’ m glad prof. Horne brought up the relationship between Putin and Netanyahu into this discussion. I won’t be surprised if Putin will side with the US and Israel and betray Iran. Will this make Iran and China become a stronger alliance?

  11. A more accurate description of the situation is that under Obama the Brzezinski school ruled US foreign policy, with an anti-Russian obsession at it's heart and now there is a switch back to the Kissinger school, where Israel's adversaries take precedence on the enemy list and bullying small nations takes precedence over confrontation with China and Russia.

  12. Exellent guest. Still much more to unpack. Russia and China have a strategic alliance now, reflected in the SCO and the BRI. US strategy to soften up Russia to isolate China I doubt seriously will work. But they might try.

  13. Putin can not be played like that, he is too smart and learned a lesson not to trust Washington liars and learned it well, but Prof. Gerald Horne is right that that is the plan.

  14. I think this discussion completely OVERLOOKED the Sino-Russian dynamics. Moreover, both the Chinese and the Russians interests are better served on keeping Iran somewhat content in the region. Israel, as usual, plays the second fiddle to the U.S., and nothing new on the front.

  15. The corp media is missing the point? No! Check out Pepe Escobar at Asia Times folks, he takes a similar tack to this. The Real Net should interview him, he used to be on RT a lot, he's funny and very well informed.
