On January 5, 2024, AWP in Collaboration with Sunshine State Sonar found a Red Plymouth Reliant Station Wagon in 31 feet of water, with license plate number: XEB875 at 4:41 pm.
The search started at 9 am and Maureen’s vehicle was the 24th vehicle found on sonar with Dave and Mike diving to confirm the plate number.
Remains were found inside believed to be those of Maureen Therese Sherman, the missing 47-year-old mother out of Miami Florida who vanished on May 1, 1985.
That day she made threats to drive into a canal and end her life.
The canal where we found Maureen’s car was just a few doors down from her home.
The Miami Dade Sheriff Dive Team rigged and floated the Plymouth with lift bags with the car breaking the surface at 9:22 pm.
AWP will release further information during the live stream with royalty-free licensing rights permitted for press release in any positive manner.
