HE MURDERED HIS UNCLE: Then Drove Him Into the River!.. (The Case of Dale Lafleur)

Dale Lafleur, a resident of Port Barre, Louisiana, mysteriously vanished on July 13, 2011. He was last seen leaving his home in the 2600 block of Bayou Road at 5:00 p.m., driving a distinctive 1991 blue Mazda Miata convertible with gray primer and a soft black top. The car bore a Louisiana handicapped license plate, number 320729. Alarmingly, Dale left behind his beloved dog and an unlocked trailer home, both of which were very uncharacteristic of him.

Despite his recent cancer diagnosis, his family firmly believed that he wouldn’t have taken his own life. The mystery deepened when, in May 2017, a shocking confession emerged. Dale’s 23-year-old grand-nephew, Philip Foster Lafleur, admitted to the heinous crime of murdering his great-uncle. The motive? A dispute over money that Dale had allegedly promised but never delivered.

Philip’s confession didn’t end there. He was already in custody for another murder, that of Akeem Adiddias Ceasar, who had disappeared from Eunice, Louisiana in December 2015. Philip revealed that he had disposed of Dale’s body by buckling it into the passenger seat of the Mazda and driving it into the Atchafalaya River across from Krotz Springs. Despite extensive searches, Dale’s car and body remain undiscovered.

In this video, the team from “Adventures With Purpose” embarks on a mission to uncover the truth and hopefully locate Dale’s final resting place. With the help of local sources, they explore various potential locations along the river, using advanced scanning technology and diving expertise. Their journey is not just about solving a cold case but also about bringing closure to a grieving family.

Join us as we dive deep into the waters and the mystery of Dale Lafleur’s disappearance. Every clue unraveled and every discovery made brings us one step closer to the truth.

  1. Try searching maybe any body of water and wooded area! Search closer towards the victim and the suspects home also his accomplice to.

  2. Of all of the rescue teams i like Jared the most. He's so calm and respectful in his way of talking and searching the waters. The other teams are often so loud and overexcited, i don't like that to much.
Keep up the good work Jared, you're a good person❤
    Greetings from the Netherlands

  3. How come Law enforcement can't bring the inmate out so they can have him point out where he actually dumped the body? Officers have done that with a lot of other criminals when they needed to find lost victims? I don't think this guy is being honest where he dumped his uncle's body at all…

  4. Thank you for all your efforts and time. Thank you to all your crew as well. Enjoy your video's very much. Love what you do and I enjoy every min of it. Your second to none brother. Keep them video's coming. God bless and stay safe all of you.

  5. How possible is it that a car moves downstream during a flood? We've all seen videos of large trees and even houses being swept downstream.

  6. Hey, I don’t know if you guys will see this comment, but you might wanna go back to that second location. At the 16:08 mark, where you guys thought that it was just a truck, I kinda see a 1st gen Miata there. It looks like there was a truck and the Miata. I could be wrong, but it looks like one.

  7. Your pronunciation of some of these Texas and Louisiana city names is a bit off, but your dedication, heart, and expertise are spot on! 😅❤

  8. I love yall. Im from Louisiana and listening to people trying to pronounce the names of places here in Louisiana is painful but i get it. Yall are doing great work ❤

  9. The debris and variation of the trees that Jared is seeing has changed so much since the time of the murder and body disposal. Multiple major hurricanes have hit Louisiana since then. Major flooding could move that light Miata.

  10. A small car if you speed up to about 75 on a area close to a boat ramp it would look like a speedboat 🚤 can reached over 115 yards and if it could turn upside down top first would be facing bottom and the under the car would be facing upside up

  11. Sir, is Humminbird a sponsor? I was wondering if I could start an email campaign about getting you the latest and greatest. Maybe even one of those croud sourcing pages were people can donate money to reach a goal. Thanks for ALL you do.

  12. The atchafalaya (pronounced chaff-a-lie-a) is a major flood control tributary of the Mississippi River. It carries huge amounts of silt with it on its way to the Gulf. That Mia has long ago been buried. Your only hope is a powerful magnetometer and even with that, the likelihood of finding it is dim.

Keep up the good work, what you and your team are doing is noble.

  13. Yeah I think he wouldn't want to be driving very far with his dead uncle straped in the passenger side, so check closer to where he was living at the time of his uncle's death .
