Found Urn Lost 6-Years Underwater while Scuba Diving for Lost Valuables! (Returned to Owner)

While river treasure hunting in Bend, OR I found human remains underwater. Tracking the family down, I found out the human remains were accidentally dropped in the river 6-years earlier. 💦😲

You never know what you’re going to find on your next treasure hunt, especially when you go scuba diving and hunting for river treasure here in Central Oregon.

On this episode of Adventures with Purpose, our team set out to scuba dive the Deschutes River here in Central Oregon in hopes of finding a goldmine of river treasures.

The river certainly didn’t disappoint us on this adventure, pulling out razor blades, broken glass, bottles, cans, golf balls, and other river treasure.

You can certainly imagine our surprise when what we thought was an Indian teapot with a bit of the green bud inside turned out to the be human remains of Ted Foley.

It took a bit of detective work, but we were able to track the family down and return Ted to his family for a proper ceremony 6-years after accidentally falling into the Deschutes River.

Super stoked that we found the family and deeply grateful they let us share this amazing story with others.

Have personally pulled 850+ pounds of garbage out of the river so far this year. … 〽️

At the end of the day, even if we had not found any human remains in the river, we still feel good about all of the garbage we removed from the river in our attempt to help save the planet, the fish, and the animals. 🐟
