CASE DETAILS
Walsh was last seen in Shaler Township, Pennsylvania on January 19, 2020. She had a scheduled therapy appointment the next afternoon but canceled it.

Her daughter was invited over for dinner on the evening of January 20.

When Walsh’s daughter arrived at her mother’s residence in the 100 block of Dolores Drive, Walsh’s vehicle wasn’t there. Walsh’s cellular phone was inside the residence upstairs, but there was no sign of her. She has never been heard from again.

Walsh’s car, a silver and black 2018 Chevrolet Trax with the Pennsylvania license plate number KTW-6007, has never been located. The circumstances of her case are unclear.

Friends of Janet and her husband from the fishing community reached out to AWP about this case and believe that Janet may have taken her own life after her husband took his own life just 60-days earlier.

  1. Two things:
    1. All those cars down near the confluence with the Mon and Ohio (under Fort Duquesne bridge, the 30 cars) could have been settling there as a natural point where the flow diminishes because of Hurrican Ivan. When Ivan came through Pittsburgh it caused massive 100-year flooding. I personally saw cars picked up and swept away like toys… In fact I was helping with rescue in Etna PA and saw a car float right through an intersection in front of me. All rivers north of Pittsburgh flow into the Allegheny, so I wouldn't be shocked if those were Hurricane Ivan cars… and probably some stolen cars that got dumped because of easy river access at that point.
    2. Damnit!!! When were you in Pittsburgh!?! I have access to a boat on the Allegheny, and I worked as a certified breathing apparatus technician and dive-equipment dealer, and my brother is a highly-credentialed search & rescue and confined space rescue tech… I would have gladly called off for a week so we could come assist you guys! Damnit!
P.S. It is TERRIFYING how many cars and bikes are in that river. We sent a diver down on the city-side once to demonstrate an Interspiro comm rig, and dude came up with TWO bikes just dropping down to the bottom and back in one spot. So imagine what all is down there after the 250 years Pittsburgh has been settled.

  2. Doug You need a giant scrap yard electro magnet to pull out those rotted cars at least it will hold all the good steel parts together when lifting the cars out via a crane!

  3. any major city on the water as old as Pittsburgh is your gonna find this especially with the city's history

  4. 8:54 I suppose, if the entire river has +100 vehicles in it, it must be really shallow, as soon as every carcasse will have been taken out of there.
In addition: imagine 1 missing person per car …

  5. That is huge, log with a cone??? So if it was a flood once a year with 10-15 cars a year being sweep away. How far would they go in swift current with windows up.

  6. I was thinking about the of the pollution that all that fuel ,oil, ECT is causing in our waterways. I understand about the accidents but the dumping of cars and on purpose is terrible. Maybe setting up Cameras that only save recording if something enters the water. Well in the dumping grounds.

  7. Well your right I had to look it up. 28 bridges over rivers, that’s a crazy amount to bridges.I thought Portland had a lot of bridges.

  8. The police need to establish missing person data to include license missing and adding a missing tab to license plate search.

  9. I'm a Steelers fan. Those cats obviously were not Steelers fans! I'm sure lol. After a game, got to ditch the car. Wow. Outstanding find. Great job. Could be a Mob dump place too.

  10. Found the mother load of the dumping grounds 👍💯that’s the popular dumping site for hot vehicles and get someone blending in the mess 🤷‍♂️nobody is going to dive on all of that!!!!!

  11. Is there no scap metal trade in the area? I understand if criminals have dumped them but surely when it's a flood that's caused the problem, someone could clear the river. Maybe it's just too expensive to bother, I'd really like to know.

  12. If Jared's mission was still to remove garbage from the rivers, this episode alone would have filled a 10 year weight quota lol xD

  13. Ngl I kind of feel bad for the dive team, even before they got to the diving just thinking about how many times you’re gonna have to dive

  14. Pittsburgh would be the city to get a car counter🤣🤣🤣 that part does flood and there are a lot of idiots unfortunately so honestly I’m not surprised at the car count + all the other Pittsburgh shenanigans
