How to curtail active shooter situations:
1) Do not glorify the shooter in any way. Share as little information about the shooter as possible, and make sure all info shared is humiliating.
2) Honor the victims. Make sure the public knows who we lost and how much they will be missed by all.
3) Never use the event to push for gun control. The public will always respond by buying more guns and ammo, thus leading to MORE shootings.
