Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis takes the stand to testify against allegations she had an affair with special prosecutor Nathan Wade. During testimony, Willis exploded, saying, “I’m not on trial,” and “It’s a lie, it’s a lie!”
The judge ordered a short break after the outburst and told everyone they must remain professional. He also warned Willis that he will strike her testimony if she doesn’t answer questions from the attorney.
The hearing is part of an investigation into whether a personal relationship between DA Fani Willis and special prosecutor Wade constitutes a conflict of interest that should disqualify her from the case.
