Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., called for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war just days after meeting with a group pushing to cut military aid to the Jewish state.Baldwin held a meeting with World Beyond War in the second week of December, where activists reportedly pressed Baldwin to “call for a ceasefire in Israel and Palestine now, work to cut military aid to Israel, and call on Israel to lift the siege on Gaza,” according to the anti-war group’s website.When asked about the meeting, Baldwin initially told the Washington Examiner that “we know that Hamas will not agree to a ceasefire.
