Rachel Maddow and Tucker Carlson are not very different… both of them defend very obscure interests. It's quiet disturbing how fascist media reporters in the U. S. claim they are "liberals"… I won't ever understand that.
A. The «Russian» meddling or collusion is, if it even exists (except for at the level of «WOW, even some Russians are trolling on the internet), at leas 3 or 4 orders of magnitude less than the media has huffed and puffed it up to. But the collusion and meddling with Israel is an order of magnitude more severe than the worst allegations against Trump ever discussed over the past three years. And probably over 90% of the politicians are more incriminated by that than the alleged influence by Russia.
Great, Jay, I'm with you, from the start, Russia&Putin was being used as calumny the Dems jumped on with both feet right into a sinkhole, I kept asking even if it turns out to be true, so what, we need to watch the GOP and the real damage they do legislatively, who cares about his stupid tweets which are meant to get reactions as he is a malignant narcissist, he loves good or bad attention, again who cares, and if true even Rachel spent 3 yrs on this bullshit and never asked and if it is true what comes next?

Rachel has done a terrible disservice to her audience, for the past 3 yrs she has'informed' us of nothing about our country and what this admin is doing. Even if Russiagate was actual, what next? It would change nothing. Meanwhile the GOP and turncoat sniveling spineless owned by Israel Congress does great damage to real citizens. * people have told me they will have to pay taxes this year, and they aren't rich people, they make wages in a service industry as clerks and such. That should be her story about what's happening in America, but Rachel is going for the glamour.
If the report is exonerating , why the stonewall?
Even Trump's corruption and refusal to cut his business ties while in 'public service' is an unworthy distraction that will backfire. At best you get Pence as president. Either way we are not focusing on Trump's awful policies and appointments. His broken promises to end unjust wars, to "drain the swamp" of DC lobbyists and consultants, to build infrastructure and restore well-paid manufacturing jobs. Not to mention his tax breaks for the rich. He is very vulnerable on all these.
But it is not by mistake that Trump gets a free pass on these issues. The establishment Dems and the media really do not want to talk about these things because they have a vested interest in protecting war profiteers, billiionaires and bankers.

The reason they couldn't focus on corruption is because the opposition would have focused on the corruption of the Clintons and other Democrats. Focusing on Russia was the preferred option.

I voted for Hilary while gritting my teeth. I wanted Bernie, but corporate Dems wanted a teem player on Wall Street. We ended up with the result of an angry bipartisan vote and that allowed Trump to slither in. Trump didn't win anything, Hillary lost everything and miserably at that. I've been a Democrat all my life, but this party no longer supports what voters like myself believe in. They play their well rehearsed game that keep us fighting each other, so that we don't notice they're selling us out while robbing us all blind.
Understand this Jeff Cohen. You say you want to know if Trump colluded with a foreign power to obtain dirt on their opponent. Jeff that is exactly what Hillary did. Hillary hired a foreign agent, Chris Steele, to get dirt on Donald Trump to influence our election. Take step back, Jeff, and realize the hypocrisy of your argument.
I voted for Jill Stein after the real election fraud took place. On the ground activists who followed the Bernie campaign can testify to the cheating and vote suppression that took place in state after state. It got so bad that the DNC cancelled exit polling which showed disparities over 10 % over and over again.
We should also understand that Robert Mueller was appointed to bring down Trump. Robert Mueller didn’t question people who had direct involvement. Why wasn’t Julien Assange questioned? He was willing. But Mueller didn’t want to know what this central figure had to say. Mueller didn’t question top technical experts such as Bill Bonney who proved that the emails weren’t hacked. They were leaked. The person who transmitted the leak to Wikileaks, Ambassador Murray was willing to testify . Mueller never questioned him.
This appears to be a kangaroo court made to impeach Trump. But the evidence was so not there that even a Deep State actor like Mueller couldn’t make a case.
Grand Jury proceedings are known to be prejudiced and are supposed to be secret for that reason.
The American people know Trump is grifter. And they voted for him because the Democrats had screwed them for so long.
The Democrats have no message except that they are not Donald Trump. That didn’t work for Hillary and it is a road to defeat for the DNC.
Imagine if Hillary the same thing? She did and worse to Sanders and the American voter/citizen. Where’s the outrage from the panel?

This program is moderately good, but it is a bit naive. Russiagate is partly about attacking Trump and gaslighting the Dem base with fear so they'll support the corrupt Dem leadership, but it has above all been driven by the Obama DOJ, FBI, Intel Community, and the neocon establishment, who want to deepen Cold War 2.0. The US is the center of a world empire, and the US power elite is (unrealistically) determined to reduce the power of Russia and China and continue unipolar, "full-spectrum" world dominance by the US. Trump "collusion" is above all the wedge the power elite is using to destroy domestic debate and opposition to the continuation of US full-spectrum global power and permanent war. This power play has worked, and Dem opposition to Trump's foreign policy has almost always been FROM THE RIGHT. The reason the fake Russiagate narrative became so huge and lasted so long is because the US power elite are supporting it. The Mueller investigation, created by Rosenstein, was at bottom a smokescreen designed to prevent detente with Russia and any investigation of the Obama DOJ or Hillary. Rosenstein is an intelligent man, and he surely knew perfectly well that there was no Trump collusion with Russia.
This is what I believe. Trump was never supposed to win. I think the whole 2016 election was a scam beginning with the dem primary. Trump was the pied piper candidate and the Hillary campaign colluded with the msm so Trump would be the Republican candidate. Hillary did not expect such a big fight from Bernie and that campaign did everything to defeat and cheat him ( colluding with media, state officials closing voting places, changing people’s political parties (that happened to me) millions of votes not counted (CA),hundred of thousand of voters dropped from the voting roles, exit polls were so bad that they decided not to do them and secretly Hillary running the DNC and superdelegates that promised support Hillary before the campaign even started. The DNC claiming that Russia hacked there servers with no real evidence except for a company that the DNC hired. No FBI or homeland security ever inspected these servers. It want a hack ( Seth Rich) This whole Russia gate fiasco was to cover up these crimes and blame Russia on Hillary pathetic defeat I have even heard Trump a couple time state that he was not supposed to win. Well with the corrupt dem party along with the FBI and CIA have pushed this conspiracy which Trump is cleared of.. the only thing he is actually innocent of, while any true and honest politician, law enforcement and media should have focused on his real crimes now just look incompetent, corrupt and have given Trump a gift for his re-election campaign.

It's not a "setback" as long as it's still sucking all of the air out of the room. The point of Russiagate is simply, to distract us away from the real issues that the political establishment wants to avoid, and IT'S STILL WORKING FOR THEM.
Ok Jeff, don't get carried away with Russia again. Putin is not a right wing nationalist, simply because that is his largest opposition. If Putin got about 80% of the vote, those right wing candidates got the majority of the rest combines. The "pro-American" candidates got barely 2%, that's probably why the Russian election didn't get much coverage in the US. I watched Russian presidential election debates last year. Among 8 parties on the ballot, Putin's party was considered a lefty socialist. Russia under Putin also adopted very strong laws against any form of nationalism, a move that is not very popular among ethnic Russians outside of large cities. As far as the "anti-gay law" goes, it was crafted outside of his party. He is definitely not into LGBT rights, but he also doesn't care. I never heard him stating a strong opinion on this issue. The majority of Duma voted for it at the time and he signed it. I'm not sure if a president there can veto laws like in the US, but he would have signed it regardless, because it's just not his issue and he wouldn't fight over it with all these parties in Duma, so the gay law and Putin don't really go together in the minds of RF citizens, in fact the law was crafted in response to Putin's lefty push for multiculturalism and freedom of religion. So stay real guys, don't turn into Rachel Maddow…
Collusion is illegal, when a judge colludes with a prosecutor and a defense attorney to screw a defendant out of their rights and enslave them based on specious and unsubstantiated claims. That is illegal and they should be jailed for doing that. So your assertion that collusion isn't a crime is factually inaccurate.
They didn't "put their eggs in this basket" they manufactured the entire fraud in collusion with the "Intelligence" agencies. They never let the FBI examine the servers that were meant to have been hacked, and actual EVIDENCE from VIPS members & others has PROVEN the hack story is a lie. Annoys me that the new narrative seems to be the Dems were "misled". BS they were. They were in it up to their stinking, warmongering necks. If criminal charges don't result from this travesty, the people not only in the US, but around the world should be outraged. Hi Paul; it is important that politics around the world evolves. The internet has helped as did the telephone, Another tool is evolving and soon to be here: Mindreading technology is developing so rapidly in Universities like Canada and the US, it will soon be an absolute embarrassment for politicians to wear them. And I am not referring to their sexual hypocrisy and degeneracy. These issues are not relevant today and can be eliminated with a panel that vets a politician's personal life from public viewing. Paul your show should be leading the evolution of this new political tool, and challenge those in the media and government who will not wear it.

Mueller shouldn't be pronounced as if it's spelt Muller. Phonetically, "ue" doesn't have the same pronunciation as "u", when the latter is pronounced in the dull, say, way, as opposed to a sharp way. Iow, "Muel" should sound more like "mule", rather than like "mull", "dull", "cull", "gull" (as in sea gull), …. Getting phonetics wrong isn't really helpful for communication. Otherwise, change the man's name to "Muller", dropping the "e" in "Mue", for the "e" then serves absolutely no useful purpose; and, what's useless should be eliminated.
I agree that there are far bigger fish to fry than collusion for Mr Trump. Try ethics and integrity for starters? The other side to this that nobody talks about is that the US interferes with elections across the globe yet gets its collective nickers in a knot when it is attempted on it. Why is the main stream media so blind to what is happening?
Well said Paul Jay, I too didn't care about collusion compared to the real crimes of the Trump administration.
I have a counterintuitive theory – MSNBC and elite Dems were just fine with embracing "Russiagate" as a distraction from Trump's other crimes because (drumroll) they are just fine with his massive tax giveaways, insane increase in military spending, etc. After all they are from exactly the same socio-economic class as the Republican leaders.
