The answer is yes.
Only members of congress should be eligible to be Speaker of the House.
To allow a nonmember of congress to be Speaker would only create more chaos than we currently have, I believe. Neither of the two big parties look all that stable or trustworthy.
Trump shouldn't be running for anything, to be honest.

The speaker of the house, as an officer of the house has legislative powers, and therefore must have belonged house of representatives.

The votes it will take to elect Trump speaker are enough to change all the house and Republican caucus rules that apply. It’s done if Trump wants it and the GOP can’t survive without him now.
As a non-member, he won’t be blocked by rules concerning members. Gaetz has set Trump up to be lawfully elected into national office next week. The novelty of it is awesome.
